So I may have torn my meniscus. Fml. I was dropping Robin off at camp yesterday and slipped on the tile hallway because it was wet. Felt a weird pop in my left knee and it's been painful since. I need to schedule an MRI and an ortho appointment.
I'm going to spend the rest of the summer known as "that mom who fell" so basically I can never go to camp again.
To top it off, Robin's camp is at the school MH works at, so I had to file the incident report with H's boss. 😳

@lauraki81 Benjamin didn't talk much until 2. By 2.5 he had caught up and was talking in sentences. They all learn at their own pace. 15 months is still pretty young. Also, no way in hell would I be spending that money for a cousins bachelorette. We are having my sil's bachelorette this weekend and I'll probably spend $100-$200 but I'm hosting.
tribute17 I'm sure moving will to a bed will be fine. Once you have a baby rail on the bed it's practically a crib anyways! I think Patrick would be ok on the top. The only thing I would worry about was if he was tired motn and tried climbing down.
tribute17 - I forgot to answer the second half of your question. I would be fine with letting Kayleigh sleep on the top bunk. We are planning on getting her a loft bed for her room. We just haven't yet because we've spent too much money of the bathroom remodel so waiting till that is paid off.
I forgot how ungrateful teenagers are. I really hope I wasn't like this when I was younger, but I imagine I was a little. My brother was being very nice and gave V a brand new phone. He works for a phone company so they send him random phones for him to push to sell. They come with a phone number and everything activated with free usage. All V had to do was set up a gmail account to use the google play and stuff from there. The little brat (I usually don't call her this but it seems fitting) doesn't want the phone and is hem hawing around about wanting to keep it. Why you ask??? Because it's not an Iphone and that's what she wants. So, I'm not even going to give her the option. I'm going to send it back to my brother and she can be left with her boring flip phone. Ugh kids!
Fashion (sort of) question. DHs best friend is getting married in September and we are all going. Abby is the flower girl so she is covered, but what should Jack wear? He is not in the wedding. Is only semi-formal (men in suits not tuxes). Are Khakis and button up (no tie) for the wedding ok? He's 2.5. And khakis and a polo for rehearsal dinner?

I think that would be perfectly acceptable. The only other option would be a suit but I wouldn't buy that unless you thought you would get more use out of it.
For those of you who started chapter books, does your LO still show a lot of interest towards smaller books, or do they want to continue with the chapter books? I think Tumaini is ready for chapter books, but I'm having a really hard time finding age appropriate chapter books for her that are written in French. The only books I really found were the Mercy Watson series. I'm worried she won't want to go back to picture books once we start the chapter books. Am I being ridiculous?

I don't know if they have them on French but Magic Tree House books maybe? I know they are really popular with younger students I have known.

Our library has three of them! I'll check one or two out and see if she likes them. Thanks!
Bought a papa murphys pizza for supper at my parent's. My dad was in charge of cooking and had made his own homemade pizza. He was taking it out and next thing I see my pizza is upside down and all the toppings are dripping down the grate. It was ruined. We basically salvaged a piece and a half for the girls and I didn't eat. Waste of 10.00!

Guess who is starting get some hair growth? This girl! It's minuscule but I can see the hair follicles under the skin and some of the spots that were completely bald have a tiny bit of growth. It's amazing that I feel more like myself now after surgery than I did on chemo.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this on here or Facebook I was a little loopy when I found out but all the lymph nodes they took were negative. The surgeon was so excited to tell me they were negative because I was so worried about them before going in to surgery.

Best news ever!!!!!!! So happy your lymph nodes were clear!!'
It's going pretty good. I'm not in too much pain. I have two drains which are a huge pain in the ass but will hopefully be out pretty soon. I'm not supposed to use my left arm too much so basically I can't do anything extra with it.
I've decided to start watching Orange Is The New Black since I can't do much else right now 🙂
somethingcleverer - So glad to hear your lymph nodes are clear! Thats such great news!! I'm also very happy to hear you are starting to feel better and are on the upswing. You're amazing

somethingcleverer,That's awesome news about your lymph nodes (and about your hair!) You have gorgeous hair, and though it will probably be a little different texture at first it works its way outta that mode soon enough. You'll rock that pixie!
I totally want to find time for Orange is the new black but it's gonna be a while. I'm in move mode! I got everything I can pack boxed up this weekend. Down to just the essentials. Our place is a pig sty! I so need to clean but I'm holding off unless we get a call for a prelist showing (I hope not until next week) or until the boxes are gone. I'm super excited to wake up and have coffee looking out at the lake and watch sunsets there. Squeeee!

xanthepants once you get settled in I recommend OITNB, I don't know why I've held off on watching for so long. When is your move day? I'm so excited that this is finally happening for you!
