Well they will be in next week but judging from the tantrum she had walking into the store I'm going to say she's not going to like them. She cried that she doesn't want glasses for 10 minutes before we could convince her to try them on.
If you could only eat 5 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Steak, cherries, spaghetti, bacon, sweet potato.
You would think that was really going to happen by how long it took me to choose my foods. Surprisingly icees and gummy worms didn't make the list even though they were the only things I wanted throughout chemo.
Awe, sarasansh, so sorry about Maggie. HFM is the worst. I actually got it from J back when she was 1 and it was in my throat (J's was too). I reneged she basically had milk and apply sauce for 3 days straight.
somethingcleverer, she looks cute. Hopefully when they have her actual Rx in them she'll wear them because she'll be able to see better. FX!
I wanted to kill my H tonight. It wasn't horrible, but we had people over for J's birthday.... 5 people to be exact. My mom, sister and her fiance, and IL's.
H ordered a cake on Tuesday for today. He picked it up on his way home from work... when he got home I opened the passenger door to find a gigantic FULL SHEET CAKE.
Seriously. A full. Fucking sheet cake. For 7 adults and 1 child.
Do you all know how big a full sheet cake is?!?! That damn cake was $55 too!!!!
I almost killed him right there.
And then I almost went to the store to kill the person who took the order for not asking what size or how many people it would be for.
When I asked him why he got a full sheet cake he said "well I didn't know what size to get. They looked smaller there" I replied "if you didn't know, you ask how big they are, or say how many you need to feed and what size they recommend... been you could point to one and say 'i need one about that big' this thing will feed the entire neighborhood!"
I have three containers of cake in my fridge. After sending everyone home with plenty for themselves, as well as a plate for my mom's friend.

Oh my goodness trixi282 I've never ordered a cake without someone asking how many people I was going to feed! Maybe you can freeze it for when you have a cake craving???
I'm doing ok. Thanks for asking. I had an ultrasound last week and they said I had a subchorionic hematoma. I guess it's pretty common and all I can do is keep an eye out for spotting/bleeding. At first I was freaked out but I read about it and I guess it's no big deal, just something to watch. The only thing that is really bothering me this time is the taste in my mouth. I always have a horrible taste in my mouth that will just not go away. I have a hard candy in my mouth most of the time which is the only thing that helps. And apparently this baby loves mustard. I'm having a hard time thinking this is real. For some reason I feel like something bad is going to happen. We still haven't told anyone, waiting for my chromosomal results coming soon. I feel like it was too easy that it won't work out. Then I think, maybe I put in my time with the other two that this will be my easy baby. And no broken ankles this time!

Is it a metallic taste or bitter? Maybe worth bringing up to your ob.
No it's not metallic or bitter, just like I ate too much candy and it won't go away or something. Hard to describe but I will mention it to her. Thanks.
trixi282 - I can't believe he bought an entire sheet cake! I swear, this is why I never send H to do certain tasks, because I don't think he would even think about this.

Ugh, so sorry somethingcleverer and sarasansh for the sick girls. I hope everyone is doing better today.
trixi282, OMG. I would be so mad too. What a waste!
tribute17, glad the ultrasound went well. And it's good to know about your SCH in case you do bleed so hopefully it won't be quite so scary. Hang in there!

Ugh, I'm stuck on outfits for our family pictures coming up in a few weeks. I have a cute navy dress for Riley and my H can just get a polo to match our "theme", but I can't find a dress for myself yet. I don't want all of us to be in navy because it'll be too dark, but I'm not sure what colors to put H and I in. I found a cute yellow dress but I don't want to put H in yellow. I thought about various shades of blue but I can't find a blue dress for myself. I'm telling you, I love family pictures but the prep work is so stressful!
summergirl1211, Yellow for you could be great, and will your H wear a short sleeved button down shirt? We did blue/yellow combo 2 years ago and it turned out well. J wore a yellow/white dress. H had a blue/white plaid shirt, and I wore a solid blue shirt with yellow jewelry.
I think if you have a yellow dress and H wears some sort of blue/white something it could be nice.

You could wear the yellow dress and put H in white, gray or light blue instead of navy. Or what about something pink for you?

Yes if you could find a blue & white patterned shirt for your H that would be perfect I think
Hello!!! For a while ads would pop open when I would try to get on here and I have no idea how to work Tapatalk. I missed y'all! I just read like 8 pages of chat stew.

I like this idea. Or even if you did your H in a Navy polo and you in a yellow dress it would be enough to break up the too dark vibe.
So I'm still going to call and ask but before I call and sound like an asshole or something...
Would it be extremely weird to call my local grocery store (that does catering type stuff) and order a tray of cooked red potatoes (like you would find in a potato salad) and just that. No mayo, no seasoning, no nothing...just a tray of cooked potatoes. I have yet to find a store-made potato salad I like and I need a party tray of it for this weekend. So I figured I would make my own and just avoid the worst fucking part of making it (cutting and cooking the potatoes). Plus I have zero time to do it but I can prepare the rest of the ingredients and mix them in under 10 minutes.
laurski81, No idea if they would do it, but it doesn't hurt to ask! The worst thing they could do is say no. Haha.
I'm sure they get weird requests all the time in the deli area... If they ask why you could tell them it's because of a family member with a severe allergy - so you'll be seasoning them to meet their dietary restrictions. It's just a little white lie. But only if they ask, haha.
Ok, I downloaded Tapatalk and created a profile. It looks so different than just using my mobile safari! Am I doing this right? Can you see me and know who I am? Lol
