Oh, I like these quicktags! I won't do it though.

AW: Just got back from a GREAT NT scan. Babies A and B measured perfectly. The guess is that Baby A, who was going crazy, is a boy and Baby B, who was more chill (just like his/her older sister) was a girl. Dr. said there wasn't a need to do further testing. I'm so relieved and can maybe get a good night sleep tonight - although does the worrying ever truly stop?

Can I vent a bit? The twins birthday is finally on a Saturday this year but we still cant have their party on their actual bday because DH's BFF is getting married that day. Ok fine, but today I find out that its an adult only wedding/reception out of town. Ive known it was out of town but now I'm irritated that I wont get to spend the kids actual bday with them because of this stupid wedding. Rationally, I know its not a big deal and they probably wont know the difference between their bday and any other day but still. I'm annoyed.

I think you have every right to be annoyed. Is it close enough that you could spend the morning with them and then drive up for the wedding?

I don't know that I'd be annoyed, but I'd definitely be sad also. I guess I'm assuming they didn't plan it realizing it would conflict with your kids' b-days? We planned our wedding the day of a friend's kid's b-day and had no idea. I felt bad.

I hope you can work something out to see your kids on their actual birthday.

Adult weddings FTW! I would be sad if we were apart for the birthday, but it's hard to accommodate everyone. Go and have a good time and celebrate the birthday when you get back.

It's a 2pm wedding 3.5 hours away. We'd get to see them for a bit in the morning, but we most likely won't be able to get back before bedtime. I'm not annoyed that it's on their birthday (I've known that for awhile now and I know I don't have a monopoly on the date), more so that I won't get to spend their birthday with them.

A few weeks ago I bought a really nice Coach handbag and wallet (leather, not obviously Coach) at the Coach store in our mall. It was a total impulse buy and I haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. My guilt in impulsively spending almost $500 got the better of me so I decided to return it. I just went to the mall at lunchtime and the damn store closed! If I want to return it, I have to drive an hour to the nearest store. I guess I'll be keeping it....

I could never impulse buy $500! DH and I were talking this weekend about how if we won the lotto we still wouldn't be able to bring ourselves to spend that kinda money. I'd still most likely shop at target LOL

I think this may be the only time I have ever spent that much impulsively.  I justified it with the fact that I tend to keep my handbags a long time so I will get the use out of it.  But I regret it now.  If I won the lotto, I would have no problem spending a lot of money on some things but not others.  But I would still shop at Target, too, because I Target.

A friend invited me over for a jewelry party this weekend and I totally spent $100 on a bracelet. I knew going in that I would buy something, but didn't intend on spending that much. The bracelet is cute and personalized, but no where near worth $100. So now I am out of "me" money until next month.

If you look at the line items in our budget, by the end of a period Haden/Hunter always has red where my stuff is always green.

Before Julia was born, I always loved shopping for clothes for myself.  Now I can't remember the last time I bought clothes for myself.  However, Julia has enough clothes for 5 kids.  It's just not as fun buying clothing for my body that is still holding on to 30 lbs of post-pregnancy weight as it is buying clothes for a little girl who looks adorable in everything.

I have 1 bumpie IN MY TOWN!!!! We get together all the time. It is pretty awesome. A couple others in the next town over. I haven't met them though.
We all met up in the next big city from me. It was an hour drive...but oh so worth it!! :-)
