1 yr later...Pre-e question re: headaches

Wondering if anyone experienced this...

DS was born at 37 wks due to extreme pre-e.  I probably should have been in the hospital a couple weeks before then, we just didn't realize.  My BP had been pretty high and swelling and headaches had started up again.  While in L&D and post delivery, I was on mag and got the worst migraine from it and the IV pain meds they gave me.  So, pretty much the entire time I was in the hospital, 5 days, I had a migraine.  they sent me home with some pain meds and on BP meds.  I started getting bad migraines again about 6-8 wks home.  The ob said it was possibly due to the bp meds and since the bp leveled out, they said i could stop the bp meds.  The headaches had pretty much cleared up once I stopped the bp meds.  Occasionally I would get a really bad headache and sometimes a migraine since then.  The past couple months, though, I am having headaches almost every day....Sometimes really bad.  I have no idea why though....i didn't get headaches this frequently or severely before DS.  I am really over waking up with a headache.  

Anyone else get more frequent headaches?  Is it just something I need to accept?  Or is it worth bringing up?

Chiming in as someone who had severe pre-e with both of my pregnancies...

Just in the past few months, about 2 years after having DS2, I've had some increased headaches and wake up with headaches. But mine is definitely related to clenching my jaw at night, stress, etc. My BP has been totally fine at all check ups. I went to a neurologist to make sure nothing else was going on, and I've gotten the all clear generally (i.e clear scans). I also think it's related to my birth control - I'm on the pill and notice that my headaches tend to be worse on the placebo week -- I think the hormones in the BC help keep the headaches at bay, and that was also true when I was pregnant (except for the whole pre-e part!)

All that to say --- you might want to get to a doctor to start investigating what's going on. Do you clench or grind your teeth at night? Are you on any hormonal birth control, etc?

I am definitely stressed...like all the time. lol.  Life seems to do that to you.    But, no clenching teeth/jaw and I have the paragard non-hormonal IUD.  

I need to check my BP and see if they are related.  There was 1 severe migraine that I did check my BP with, and the bp was pretty high.  But, eventually it went back down.

So, I checked my BP the other night while my head was hurting...BP was perfectly fine. Even though I had just carried DS in and put him to bed and immediately checked it. It was perfectly reasonable.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are stress related. I do hate my job...
