Any other toddler a stuffed animal hoarder? She notices when I take the smallest thing out. I've managed to remove a couple over the months and encourage no more. She also has them in toy iced and packed onto of her dresser. I know she can't buy them herself, so I'm a total enabler. I was also one, so maybe it is genetic. I had a walk in closet devoted to just my stuffies.
We have one hippo toy she is obsessed with and God forbid if it's downstairs at nap or bed time. The whole house hears her whine until I go back down and get it. We keep all but a few in a bin in the closet. Maybe you can get one of those corner mesh organizers?

I've thought about that, maybe above her bed so she can see them still.
We have lots of organizers full of toys. She carries her Daniel Tiger around everywhere. I try to take one out of bed at a time, but her bat like senses notices instantly.

DD is like this as well, but especially with her dolls. There are naked dolls, everywhere. Stuffed toys are the worst, because they take up so much space in the toy box!
I had one of those corner mesh organizers as a kid and it worked great for storage. DD has a ton of stuffed animals and I have them scattered in the different play areas of the house in toy bins(her room, livingroom, basement, computer room) and a few in the car. She has a few main ones she plays with everyday (we call them her entourage ) and of course her stuffed 101 dalmation "Patch" that she will not go anywhere without. Someday I'm sure we'll have to go through and donate some as she gets older but for now I'm embracing all her quiet animal friends.
Yup! Mine take a minimum of 3 to bed with them every night. (Ashley usually picks 3, Kayla usually takes 5.) And we have about a billion overall in the house (plus they are getting more for Christmas and their birthday). I'm still a total kid at heart, so I'll see something I think is adorable and get it for them. We do have our "must take baby" that goes everywhere - Ashley's little pink and purple cat, Kayla's Build A Bear Dory (seriously, the child is obsessed with the character!).
My mom actually just picked up a new toy chest for us that I'll probably use as a stuffed animal receptacle in their room and migrate some of the ones out of my living room and den when I see her and get it.
I had a ton of stuffed animals as a kid and still have a few as an adult that are special to me, so I'm in no hurry to purge theirs. (I have put the occasional infant stuffy away - things with rattles and the like.)
I may do a mesh hammock thing when they get older and I won't be as afraid that they'll try to hang from it like monkeys. Like jnetx, my parents didthe plastic chain thing from a hook, but I always felt like it was a hassle. Also, Michael's craft stores are running 50% off the organizer bins meant for kids this week (or at least, my local one was). I picked up two big canvas ones with rainbows on them and a slightly smaller unicorn one, for about $30.
One last thing - I saw something on Facebook a while ago - take PVC pipes and make the basic shape of a box. Hang bungee cords or rope in between the supports on each side to make a cage. Paint a sign that says "Zoo" and glue to the top. Now you have a stuffed animal "zoo" to hold the plushies.
Maybe this is how I will get DD to sleep in her own bed lol I'll just cover it with stuffed animals.... Hhhhmmmmm
DD always says her bed is "comfy cozy".
FFTC: We took a vacation week over the 4th and still sent the kids to daycare. After I dropped them off and wanted to crawl back to bed but DH was snoring I slept in the above bed. It was kind of amazing, and wish it was my bed.
