It's a work weekend for mh so I'll be solo parenting all weekend, I'm already tired thinking about it. I'm sure we will get out to my parents house a couple times but that is probably it for me.
I had a great time with our friends last night. We went out for some delicious Mexican food and then invited a couple of neighbor friends over for a camp fire. Today we plan on going to a pop up beer garden in the city with them which I am less excited about since I will be the sober one on toddler duty. As long as there is food I should be good though. Plus I'll be racking up my free massages! Mh and I have a deal that every time I dd while I'm pregnant I get a massage of my choosing that I don't have to reciprocate. I'll have at least two in the bank this weekend!
Headed to a family reunion at my grandparents' house today. DS is excited to see my parents and his aunt, but I'm a little concerned he'll be bored out of his mind and super crazy since there won't be many little kids there.
That's a good deal lakegirl! Wish I had negotiated a massage deal with my DH!
Low key weekend planned for me. The weather doesn't look like it's going to be that great either, so I may try to find an indoor activity for DD.
I also have to find time to finish my diy entryway project, so hopefully DH will take DD for a few hrs at some point. I got my foyer tile down and grouted, no it's just the stair runner to go. Can't wait until my entryway is all spiffy!

DS slept until 8:45! We are getting ready to run over to Gymboree. That's the extent of our Saturday plans. Maybe playground or pool after nap? Who knows.

I'm back at the lab because my appointment ran late yesterday so I didn't have time to do the 1 hour glucose test before H had to work. So now I'm here bright and early (it's 8am) trying not to hurl.
I'm going to test a friend later and see what she's up to, we have a standing invite to go swim in her pool sometime soon.
I had so many strange and vivid dreams last night that ended with a nightmare about both of my parents dying. I woke up with tears in my eyes and breathing hard. I feel like I have slept really well in about two weeks because of these dreams! Usually they are just vivid and intense, I don't like that nightmares have been added to the mix. A nap sometime today is a certainty.
We decided to go get an elective 3D ultrasound in two weeks and have our families come so we all find out the sex together! It is about a 15 minute session (if baby cooperates) and we get a DVD of the full session (movement and all, not just pictures), CD of images and some printouts. They also record the baby's heart beat and give us a Build a Bear with the heart beat inside. The whole package is only $125 and I think it will be fun.
My parents are coming up and DH's parents are coming up and my sister will be coming. DH didn't want to do a family gender reveal so this was a way we could do something fun with it. I'm considering asking people to wear pink or blue based on what they think we're having.
MIL had her third chemo treatment yesterday and the tumor has shrunk almost by half already! It is still attached to the chest wall so they can't do a lumpectomy yet, but other than her hair falling out she hasn't been sick. She will have one more chemo in two weeks (the day before our ultrasound) and then she will have a 3-4 week break before starting weekly chemo treatments that won't be as long. Right now the plan is to have 12 of those sessions.
Last week has been super crazy at work so I haven't had time to play here much. I hope everyone is doing well!

Good morning! Woke up and made bacon and buffalo wings. I've decided my whole family thinks clothing is optional. H is partially dressed and DS won't even keep underwear on. Whatever.
I have zero plans this weekend besides going to David's Bridal to pick up a bridesmaid dress. I'm thinking maybe the museum might be fun tomorrow. Idk.

thelittleredm, DS has also recently decided that underwear are optional. Problem is, he is not potty trained. He is still in diapers. So far only pee accidents. Fx he doesn't poop on the floor. This like a potty training strategy, right? At least that's what I tell myself. I just don't have the energy at the end of the day to fight a diaper change battle. FFSC?
Eta; aprilz81, that sounds like a really nice way to include family in this whole crazy baby journey! Really thoughtful to have them all come along.

Definitely a potty training strategy. At least, that's what I would call it lol Lucky for us that DS has stopped pooping in his pants 95% of the time so no underwear isn't too stressful here. I just feel like I should be curbing this behavior when all I want to do is join in.

We had soccer tots this morning, came home and played in the jumper inside because it's approximately the temperature of hell outside. Did lunch and now chilling watching Sesame Street before nap time for DD. Not sure about this evening or tomorrow.

Going to a baby and brew baby shower for two of our friends in a bit, will probably make a quick appearance since it will be DS's nap time. I was too lazy to go buy a gift this week so DH and I picked out a few items from their registry this morning and paid to ship them to our friends' house. After the shower we will probably just come back home and enjoy the AC, RealFeel is already at 101 for the day and I imagine it will only get worse. I'm so over these Midwest summers...
