This is my first baby to use a RNP and I am kicking myself for not having one with the others. Holy Moly this thing is magical. Like fairies sprinkled it with sleep dust. He is STTN in it and goes down for naps awake in it. Miraculous.
Anyways, I never want to give it up. How long did you keep your LO in it? I will follow the weight rec, of course, but can I keep him in it forever?

DS slept in his at night until about 5 months. It was wonderful! We continued using it for occasional naps until he could roll.

I used one until my kids could use their arms to sit up in it. Not sure when that was, but probably longer than I should have. DD did not have a flat head although she used it a long time. DS did have a flat head, but just on one side so due to muscle things not specifically the rock n play.
I used one with DS, and I absolutely loved it, but honestly, I am wondering if it is why his head is flat.
I'm freaked out about flat head. DS1 had it pretty bad because with him being my first I had no readon to wear him around places. He was always either in the bouncer or infant seat. My middle three were tummy sleepers, so it was never an issue. Now I'm paranoid because this baby is a back sleeper. Thankfully, he does well in a carrier, so I wear him quite a bit. And he does his final stretch of sleep next to me on his side. That has been enough time off of the back of his head to prevent flatness.
But I have two friends who had babies at the same time as me and their kids' heads are really flat. Both of those babiea hate being worn too.

We got one for Hunter and switched him to the crib just before he turned 2 months. He was extremely long and could barely fit by then, he was abnormally tall though.
I swear that thing was magical. He STTN basically from the start and always went to sleep on his own. I'm sure he was just a unicorn baby, but I'm kicking myself for not getting one for my robot baby who didn't sleep at all.
Our feb 13 kid loved the RnP. Well let me step back, he refused to sleep in a crib or PnP but slept decently well in the RnP. It was hell for us to break him of it but he was really tough with everything sleep related. We used to swaddle him and then buckle him in the RnP. He was in there way too long but with the buckle it wasn't too much of a danger. He went to the crib at 5.5 months but we may have snuck him in the RnP a few times until 6 months. The RnP kinda saved us with him - he was a total nightmare sleeping.
He did have a flat spot, but I don't know if it was from the RnP. Meh didn't need any intervention from the flat spot.
I didn't want to have to break our little guy from anything so we tried to avoid the RnP. Luckily he took immediately to the crib and slept reasonably well so we never pulled out the RnP.

We also just got an RnP with this one, and I agree that it is magic. Absolute magic. We've never used it for nights, but she takes all her naps in it (or when we're wearing her). Honestly, I'm not really worried about a flat head, and she doesn't have one. She's 6 months old, and we'll go to the US when she's 7 months old. My mom doesn't have a RnP, so that's when we'll abruptly transition her out of it. DH put her down for a nap in her crib yesterday and she did fine, so I'm not anticipating a rough transition.
We had been having her fall asleep in it in the evenings because it was in the living room where we were and her bed was 2 floors up, so I was too lazy to put her up there and then have to run up and down if she needed something. Now her bedroom is with ours on the 2nd floor, though, so we've been putting her down in her crib in the evenings and it has worked out just fine.
