- snacks for DH. DS was born at 10pm so it was nice to have snacks for him. We did little bags of pretzels, granola bars, Gatorade.
- I got a couple cheap pillows and pillow cases from target and just left them there.
- going home outfit for me and baby. I can't remember if I wore a nursing tank under the gown or not. I'll probably bring 2 options for 2.0, I bought a little brother sleeper in NB but it looks so long! I may get another one that's shorter or maybe a onesie outfit since it's usually hot AF here in September.
- phone charger, kindle tablet and charger and camera and charger.
- either non-slip socks or sandals to wear in the hospital room.
I'll use the disposable chonies, tucks pads, monster pads, peri bottle and all the baby things that the hospital provides. I'll even take home what they'll give me.
Like others I overpacked last time...and barely used anything in my bag. Then it sat packed for like 3 months post partum in my closet.
So this time, I'm going to pack light...the hospital provides sooooo much stuff.
Must haves: Cozy furry socks + slippers that I can toss after the hospital stay Loose and large button up shirts + baggy soft pants Take home outfit for baby Phone chargers Nursing tanks Belly wrap / binder

Just want to add, you may want to bring an empty bag of some kind because if you have nice nurses, they will load you up with stuff to take home. Our nurse emptied the entire bassinet drawers of diapers, swaddling blankets etc into my bag to take home last time

I bought a short nursing nightgown with a matching cotton robe for my last birth and will be bringing that this time. While laboring, it was nice to have the robe over my hospital gown. After birth, I didn't even worry about bras; my breasts were too sensitive for them anyway. I regret wearing pants at all last time. There are too many frequent checks "down there." I'll probably leave the hospital in a maxi dress.
