Dd2 is starting to be really clingy. She's been waking up every time I lay her down. Dd1 has always been clingy. Having to share me is hard on her. She currently has my body split in two. Her side and baby's side. Dh is going to Vegas next weekend for a bachelor party. I'm already stressing about how hard 3 nights without him will be.

Im in the bathroom and I can hear Dh on the phone, ds is running around with his toys and baby is crying. I just texted him to say that I'll be in here a while. #sorrynotsorry
Ds has been good so far but it's only been 2 weeks. I'm really hoping it continues to be ok. Dh will be gone for 9 days (!) in August. I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it!

One boob is way to full- tried to use it to nurse but it sprayed ds in the face and he refused. Now nursing with one and will pump the other next. Not complaining because I hope it will be easier to start storing milk than it was last time - it just surprised me.
DS2 refused his first bottle last night. He was like wtf is this? And spit the milk out. But I wonder if it was because the milk I used was the milk I first pumped and froze so it was a mixture of colostrum and milk. I'm going to try fresh pumped today.

I called my lefty last time "mega boob". It's already got a head start in pure weight right now. It's like a cantoloupe to my right being a large orange.

Were you the one who gave it to him? I always heard many babies won't take a bottle from mom, because they can smell the boobs and know the fresh stuff is right here. Maybe try having DH give the bottle instead.
Success with a bottle of freshly pumped BM and MH giving it to him. Then I finished giving him the bottle. How often should he have a bottle to keep up his acceptance?

We're doing once a week right now, though when we started it was every three days. With dD1 we did every night in the beginning.
Ds got h so good. We looked over and he had fully unswaddled himself. Then we heard the poop. Dutiful dad got up and started changing him. Diaper off, more poop. H is trying to deal with all the continuous poo and clean him up, and ds pees all over himself. I was dying trying not to laugh because it hurts. Such a mess and of course the little guy becomes hysterical.

This happened to DH & I the very first diaper we tried to change. DS had pooped, and then it was just like a stream of poop coming once we had already taken off the diaper, then he peed all over us. Fun times.

I want to eat my feelings but Dh doesn't want to order food. He said we can eat leftovers. Blah. I just want Chinese food and to wallow for a minute. Too much to ask.

Not too much to ask! Hope you got Chinese food!
Left over pizza, meh. It was the best of the leftovers in the fridge.
Little man had to go hang out with the nurses last night. He did 2 hour cluster feeds, 3 times throughout the day. At midnight, after 2 hours, he seemed content so we sent him for his hearing screen. H and I both fell asleep while he was gone. He came back and the nurse had him all wrapped up, said he was happy and should go to sleep. He did not and wanted to nurse every hour - for at least 30 mins. I was struggling to stay awake each time so around 3 we called the nurse and she took him so we could sleep for a few hours. Kid likes to eat.

You're very lucky that the nurses will take him. At both hospitals I was at, they won't. It's a simple, no, we aren't allowed. I hope you got some sleep!

That's so crazy because we legitimately could not get him to sleep. He'd sleep for 15 - 20 minutes then start squawking and want to eat again. This is a baby friendly hospital but they'd rather take him for a bit than have me fall asleep with him on me. They don't really use the nursery anymore except for testing and such, but the nurses are happy to hold him and keep him at their station. He was also the only baby here last night.

It is nuts and really unsafe IMO. The hospital for ds was baby friendly, but the recent one was not, though they were trying to become baby friendly. I have heard a couple of mom friends from the east coast say that nurses/nurseries are more common on the east coast. I don't know of one hospital here that does that or has a nursery. Not one. I think the only reason we got sleep this time around was because we are FF and could take turns.

I fell asleep holding ds2. He wouldn't sleep - constant nursing - just what you described, and I was there alone because Dh was with ds1. To be fair, I didn't ask for them to take ds2 and I didn't want him out of my sight.

I'm having issues and had to take a dose of miralax today - yuck yuck yuck. I needed it most of my pregnancy for ds1, but not for ds2 - forgot how much I hated it.

Do you use the kind you mix into liquid? I could never taste it.
When does the big hormone dip come? I think it was day 4 with DD, the day we went home and I just wept all day. I feel amazing today, but warned DH it's probably coming soon.
Also, breastfeeders did you get engorged this time when your milk came in? I felt more full this morning, but not like whoa milk. I think that was also late day 4 with DD and today is day 3.

I was a little engorged this time but not nearly as much as last time and the engorgement lasted longer last time.

I definitely had torpedo boobs for a couple days with Dd2. But my milk didn't come in until day 5 and I was pumping and supplementing and feeding her with a tube because she was too weak to nurse for the first 10days.

Yes it's the powder that mixes into liquid - so gross. I can definitely taste it.
