We just finished our weekly viewing of garbage collection. Yes, every Tuesday DS and I sit on out front steps and watch the garbage and recycling trucks. The kid is really into trucks. Now it's breakfast before either library or grocery store. Or both.
I stayed up too late again to finish the first season of Broadchurch in two nights. I loved it. I'm normally pretty good at guessing who did it before they reveal but I got got on this one! I was guessing up until the end. Was it really that well done? Did I not pick up on clues because of baby brain? Was I do busy drooling over David Tennant? I don't know! But I'm excited to start season two tonight.
Nothing fun on deck today but I could really go for a diner grilled cheese and fries. Maybe DS and I will have a little lunch date. Maybe that would give me the energy to do some household chores.
Totally forgot I offered to make "welcome home" gifts for 40 families moving into our church's neighborhood today. So I have to go to the store and hope that DS takes a long enough nap for me to put everything together. Oops.
Also, all I want from life right now is to eat Applebee's Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad all day, every day, but we already had food from there once in the past week and I can't just keep buying takeout or our bank account will hate me. I need to find a good alternative caesar dressing. Learned the hard way that the plain old Kraft caesar dressing is super gross.

geekmama, good luck with your project. How sweet of you!
DD was up several times last night because her latest fear is thunderstorms. I was up to pee at 12:00, she woke us up at 12:30, woke us up again at 4:30 and we never went back to sleep. Yay. I also realized DD's birthday party is less than 3 weeks away and I haven't ordered the cake or done invitations yet (these are the things I realize at 4:30 in the morning). So off to Target we go tonight!
Everyone loves a good food festival but who were my Polish fest people? LovesMeSomeCake and silvermelody? It's this weekend and I'm drooling over what I'm going to get. When they combined parishes the other year they combined the festivals so you can get alllll the Polish and Italian food at once. I'm thinking of skipping the combination platter because kielbasa doesn't sound appetizing right now (and isn't it on the avoid/limit list?) and just get golabkis (stuffed cabbage). I can steal some pierogis from mh's platter. We normally grab some cheese babka for breakfast the next day too. I might want to get some frozen golabki to bring home too. And dessert! They put ice cream between two waffles and coat it in powdered sugar. You look like you've been rolling around in a pile of coke but they're sooooo good. I'll definitely be signing up for one of those.

I am tired. I want to go on vacation so badly, just 2-3 day getaway with a beach and a pool. My OB yesterday told me to try Sudafed for my congestion, so I am going to pick some up after work today. I hope it helps.

I've got a headache and I don't feel like doing any work. H & I watched The Night Of on HBO last night, not much else is on TV right but it was definitely interesting.
DD and I went out for breakfast this morning, then to the toddler playground, so that's our outing for the day. I guess the rest of the day will consist of playing, reading, nap time and a bit of Sesame Street.
I started watching the Great British Bake Off last night after hearing how fantastic it is from several people (I even think somebody here mentioned it) and it did not disappoint.

jrun2013, Honestly I'm too afraid to be far and away for any long stretch of time. I'd love to go down to Fl or something but I'm hoping I can convince H to spend a few days down in Cape May.
peaseblossom55 I feel you on that, hope you get a little vacation soon!
geekmama that's so wonderful of you! Fx DS lets you get it done!
I'm so tired. Going to put baby down for a nap and have a short nap myself, then I have a newborn, an then another shoot this evening. So exhausted. Glad my weekend starts Thursday though!
Has anyone seen any good baby related deals for prime day?
Cute teething/nursing necklaces are 40% off. I just bought one, even though I probably won't need it until *next* Prime day. LOL. I think the brand is Mama&Little
Funny you should say that lol. I was just debating whether I should stock up on diapers for this LO (in addition to the ones I bought DD)... or if I wait until prime day next year.

DH just impulsively bought a set of three suitcases. We did need them but it was quite a random text to receive (I got the Amazon alert that it had been purchased before DH informed me).
I just stocked up on diapers for DD. Pampers is 35% off. That's about it.
We are still on the cloth versus disposable diaper debate. I feel like so many decision hinge on other decision as well, that I am not ready to make.
Yeah I was honking about that too. We'll probably do cloth through at least 3 months (when he/she'll go to our non-cloth friendly daycare). We have the stash from DD, so i guess why not. I held off on diapers for LO2.0 because I'm not sure what size he/she'll be when we switch over.

My DH is the one with the prime account, so I do the shopping and he gets email notifications. He always laughs when he's in a work meeting and gets a pop up that his wife has bought something like "1 tub of nipple cream".
jrun2013 Broadchurch is a British crime drama. A murder happens in a small tourist town and during the investigation everyone's secrets get exposed. Season one is the investigation and I think season two is suppose to be the trial and a side story.
Disclaimer: I love British tv, especially crime dramas and historical pieces, old or new! Give me allllll the inspector shows! They tend to move at a slower pace, which often means more character development and better plot, compared to American crime shows. So they're not always everyone's cup of tea 😉

Does Sherlock count as British crime drama? I binge watched all the episodes again recently. SO good.

It does in my book! Such a good adaptation. I love the longer episodes even though there are only a handful per season.
