I'm starting to try to be more diligent woth working out. I started a bikini body mommy 6 week challenge. Today will be week 2 day 2. Yesterday was the first day it hasn't been ungodly hot so we took the girls out for an easy hike. I'm trying to make healthier food choices but I do find it a challenge because I worry than any restricting may negatively impact milk supply so I'm just trying to be mindful of fruits and vegetables. I still haven't tried on any prepregnancy clothes since I'm sure they won't fit. I'm still almost 25 lbs up from my prepregnancy weight. And while at least 5-10 of that is probably boobs, the rest is thighs, butt and back fat which I would love to get rid of. Between being too hot to get out as much as I'd like and time/lack of sleep/ability to put the baby down even getting 20 min work outs in has been a struggle, but I do feel good getting something in almost every day!
Things are going ok. The weight isn't coming off as fast as I would like. I am currently doing weight watchers. Which is good and I have lost some weight.
I am running or walking everyday. I got cleared last week to run so I am training for a 10k now. I am also doing a post baby body strength routine to help build muscle.
I am struggling with good food choices all the time. I tried on a pair of pre baby jeans. Damn thighs are massive still.
I think things are going in the right direction. I have almost no appetite. That happened to me last time too after I stopped breast feeding. I'm trying to make the most of the foods that I do eat. It's hard. I love junk food.
I haven't really started exercising much, but I will within the next few weeks. It's been hard with DH being gone a bunch. I plan to mostly walk and then start running again.
There are some clothes that I can fit into that I am happy about. I saw my dad yesterday and he told me I look "less fat" than I did last week. Thanks, dad! So, I guess that's progress.

At almost 4 weeks pp, I'm starting to get pretty antsy to exercise. I feel like I have a long way to go to get back to feeling comfortable in my clothes (still haven't tried most on, but the heat and the need for clothes to be nursing friendly mean most of my pre-pregnancy clothing isn't that desirable anyway).
My activity so far seems so limited, as it feels like I spend most of the day and night sitting and nursing. End whine! I walk the dog and have started stretching, squatting, etc. I've drastically cut back on dairy, which means no ice cream, but I've still found ways to indulge the sweet tooth. I could probably work on that...

Things haven't been awful, but I am having a hard time with eating convenience foods and fast food, etc. It's been tough with such a needy baby to do any cooking so we are relying on things that can be quick and DH can manage to make. (He grew up with a very "doormat" mom who never made her husband or kids do anything so he had absolutely no idea how to do any cooking at all when we got married. When he lived alone he basically ate fast food and sandwiches.) He's better now, but still very limited, even 9 years later.
Plus I tend to basically sit on the couch and feed the baby and in turn feed myself snacks and junk food. I think that I want to make up lack of sleep with food? Not sure. Plus I have seriously spent more at Starbucks these last two months than I have in the last two years. (Calories much?)
Last, with a needy baby and the 100*+ weather, I have not been having much luck doing any exercise. Oh well. One day.
Not really doing much. I told myself after the postpartum check I'd try to eat healthier. That's not really happening. I'm not too far off from my pre-pregnancy weight, but none of my clothes fit, I think my body structure just changed this time around. I do want to continue to work on being healthy. I've just felt really unhealthy the past year and a half with all of the different health issues. It's hard to get outdoors when it's 100 degrees and humid, so I honestly might not do a lot more in the next month or two. Breastfeeding made me lose all of the weight over the course of 2 months last time. It won't happen that quickly this time, but hopefully should help. I have a major sweet tooth also. We don't have any dessert in the house so I ate half a bag of chocolate chips today....desperate!

I haven't weighed myself actually. I should probably start there... Or maybe just avoid it until my 6 week postpartum visit when I've had plenty of time to lose the weight.
I weighed myself last week and was within 5 pounds of pp weight though I still had 20 extra pounds from my first to lose. I haven't done anything yet except BF as I'm only three weeks out and haven't been cleared. I am getting antsy to use my elliptical since it's too hot to do much outside. I think I've been more active while on leave than before with an office job so that's helped me shed the pounds this time. My stomach is so flappy and gross and my thighs are still huge so I know I need to start some sort of fitness asap.
I also need to eat healthier but I'm having a hard time meal planning and getting to the store and making food. I think I'm going to try to get into a routine like taco Tuesday, grilled chicken Monday, salmon Thursday, fish Friday, etc to simplify life. I just need to find some healthy, yummy, quick, and easy meals that I wouldn't mind having weekly.

Thanks for starting this thread packerfan4life! I need the motivation.
I started jogging again last week after getting formal clearance at my 6 week PP visit. I'm doing a beginner 5k training program that starts with short runs and interval training, 3-4 workouts per week. So far it's been surprisingly easy, so I guess I didn't loose as much fitness during the pregnancy as I feared. We'll see how I do when the workouts pick up in intensity though. My goal is to finish this 8 week program and then build my distance to run a 10k in October. Also, I'll be in the mountains the next two weekends so I hope to do some hikes with baby in the carrier. Shooting for 3 miles or so.
I'm about 3 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight and 8 pounds over what I'd consider my "ideal" weight. And a few of my favorite pre-pregnancy cloths don't fit well. But I'm trying not to worry about these things. Getting active again is way more important to me.
The two challenges currently are that my DH is also training and our schedules don't allow both of us to work out on the same day, so we have to alternate days. The second challenge is the weather - I suffer a ton while trying to exercise if it's over about 85. And the frequent thunderstorms too. The result is that I have to fight to get those 3-4 workouts in per week.
I just spent the last hour with DD laying across my bouncing legs trying to get her to stay quiet for a conference call I was on. My legs were so sore at the end they were shaking. I'm sweating. Exercise win!
I'm doing ok. I'm getting better at eating better. More veggies and less sugar. It had been so hot so my daily dog walks are shorter but I take the route with the massive hills so it is work! Also it is just too hot to wear DD so pushing a stroller and managing a small but extra pulley dog is definitely giving my arms a workout. I am still too scared to put on any Pre pregnancy clothes and have the overwhelming desire just to give everything away and start fresh with a new wardrobe so I don't have to try, but since I'm not a millionaire I don't think that is in the cards. Eventually I will attempt to see what fits.
I want to get to the point where I feel confident enough to try on some of my clothes. And I want to continue to make good food choices.
Getting enough exercise is also important for my mental health and right now it is hard given the heat. I may have to do some mall walking

I have been bad about this. Starting to eat better, but still startlingly sedentary. DH takes LO on 2-3 hour stroller rides every day first thing in the morning so I get some sleep, so he's doing great! Whenever I get time to myself I shower or rest. Maybe it will be easier to change this once it's not so hot out.
I'm about ten pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight, but my body is just different. I put on shorts the other day, and they definitely didn't fit like they used to. I've taken some walks and plan to continue to do that making them longer. The key to that is getting out before it gets so hot out.
I'm only a few lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight, but it is all in new places. So clothing I've worn at this weight before still doesn't fit. Sigh. Time to get serious about the healthy eating. We are doing a lot of pasta and pizza because it is easy.

I'm going to join you ladies and start my workout venture on Monday. Until then I'm walking and chasing a toddler while wearing a newborn. I usually get about 2-4 miles in a day, but have been aiming for 4-6 if I can.
