Oh also, I will be getting my Zoloft prescription in advance and bringing it in my hospital bag so I can start it immediately PP and not have to wait for my OB to write it for me, wait for it to come up in the system and get filled, etc.

My MW just called my Rx downstairs to the hospital pharmacy and DH got it picked up before discharge. She put an order for the nurses to bring me a dose each morning while I was there.
Another thought: make sure you have your insurance co contact info so you can notify them of the birth (then they can send you or your HR rep the paperwork you need to add baby to your plan). Also a checkbook. Here we fill out birth certificate applications in hospital and need to attach a check to receive a copy.

On the tour they showed us a small kitchen where they provide stuff like peanut butter & bread for you but I'd much rather have my own food at 2am. Each room has a mini fridge exclusively for your food (not medicine/ breastmilk). My hospital also has a 24 hour dunkin donuts inside and a 24 hour convenience store across the street.
That is pretty bad! At the hospital I used last time DH could pick his own meal everytime I ordered food for "free". It was pretty sweet. He was letting the dogs out one time so my parents got his free meal instead.
I believe my hospital also offers the same perk, though the hospital is insanely expensive and new. I heard this second hand from a mom who had her baby there last year. Haha, since we will be hitting our OOP maximum this year anyways, I hope that's the case and H can get some food...supposedly, it's pretty good.
I still need to pack...I started, but so far have only put in a bra. I will definitely be bringing flip flops, hair ties, comfy tanks, and yoga pants. I don't take pictures in the hospital gowns...I'm very petite so they look extra silly on me.

If you haven't hit your OOP yet try to avoid paying the balance to the hospital- despite what they tell you. They will usually be ok if you just pay them a small amount instead. The rational is they and you have no idea how the bills will be paid through your insurance and if you over pay the hospital then you have to get a refund from them. Last time DH did that despite me telling him explicitly not to so I think they can be pretty persuasive.
