We are having family pictures of the 6 of us in about a month. Im in the process of trying to figure out outfits for everyone. Ive been pinning some ideas. They will be taken in the late afternoon outside. Thoughts on neutrals?
we just did pictures, too. we have fewer people to coordinate, but I just tried to make everything "go" with the others. DH in a dark teal tee, me in a denim/chambray romper, kids in denim-ish shorts, and white/cream shirts. Cy's had a chambray pocket on the front. I feel like shades of blue and cream are pretty flattering, and you can always allow other neutrals like olive, khaki, etc for individual outfits.

I agree that if you can pull off neutrals, that looks pretty nice. The beige colors don't go great on us personally, I think it works great on some but not others. I do like the cream and blue. Not a fan of the blue/pink though.
I'm terrible at coordinating clothes, I usually don't bother for photos but always wish I did.
And I'm with @liv with the photo of the mom of 5 lmao!

I'd ask the photographer what they recommend. I'm personally a fan of the bolder colors. Of course some neutral is needed to balance, but then I nice pop of some bold colors like a pretty mustard or pink or emerald green.
Depends on the colors and accessories (which doesn't really help). Layers and sweaters are definitely more fall. A light dress, Bermuda shorts, statement jewelry pieces can be summery. A brighter coral with some teal and white. Crisp white with a bolder yellow (not mustard, more sunshine) and navy blue. Or that combo with emerald green instead of yellow.

What setting are you taking them in? I think that would affect my color choices. If you're doing a park I like more nature based colors or muted non nature based colors so you don't awkwardly out, but a city setting or something where you will have structured backgrounds like stairs, metal things, etc, I think looks great with bright colors that pop.
Lola what about neutral with pops of color? Like coral, yellow, or navy? Here's some cute ideas I found for you. Now you have me spiraling on family photo ideas, I think I want to have some done in the fall, we've never had any taken!
