I know some of us are starting to transition to the crib. Is there a certain age that it's best to do this by? The sooner the better? Does it really matter?
Seriously need all the sleeping tips because DS1 has never gone to sleep on his own. I feel like we broke him. I dream of the days where we can tuck him in and just leave the room!!
Hoping LO can eventually just go to sleep in the crib on his own.
My pedi told me when they start rolling as they can get stuck and bassinet may be dangerous. That's the only reason we are trying it. My concern is LO can roll on her Tummy but can't roll back. Sometimes during tummy time she pukes a little...I have a fear she will choke. And if she rolls on her tummy should I roll her back? Ugh it makes me nervous

My pediatrician says six months, but that is to lower SIDS risk. We are both sleeping well enough in the same room right now. However, I am a little worried about going to six months because they start becoming aware of their surroundings and that may make the switch harder. Right now he goes down well in a pack n play. He may eventually fight going down in his crib.
I'd think the transition to crib from pack n play wouldn't be too bad since they're both flat surfaces!

I have been wondering this too. DS is still in the rock and play. He sleeps soooo good in it though so I'm like why mess with it. But I don't want to do it too late!
I'm in the same boat as you. I don't want to mess with amazing sleep. We transitioned my son from rock n play to crib around 4 months or so. We had a rough few nights and then all was well. I hope for the same this time! I'm holding off on trying since we are traveling next weekend and have a wedding away in early Aug., the rock n play is just so easy to travel with and takes up so little space in my parents tight cottage/a hotel room.

I am hoping this to be the case. A is in the PNP in our room still only because she doesn't have a room yet! We still haven't made the permanent switch to move both boys in together. We do "sleepovers" but neither of them sleep great. Plus, DS1 has developed a fear of thunderstorms. He goes nuts and is inconsolable. He needs us in his room with his light on. DS2 will not stand for this and be pissed. We are screwed.
LO slept all night in her crib last night...meanwhile I was up all night checking on her. She flipped and slept on her tummy for a while which makes me super nervous. She also rolled right to the edge and stuck her leg between the rails! She has the whole crib and that's where she sleeps! I'm excited for the transition but everything makes me so nervous. Thank God for the video monitor
buttercup I have had two skin biopsies. Do you have any particular questions about it?
How fast do they heal? How much of a scar?
My particular biopsies were moles. All the scars are about 1 cm long, like 5-6 stitches. They have faded so you can barely see any of them (I've had it done twice, but three moles total). I don't remember what the healing time was, maybe a couple weeks? The worst part is getting the numbing shot; it burns til it kicks in (like when you get the numbing shot for an epidural). But then you don't feel the procedure.
ETA- All my biopsies were done post-puberty, so I haven't grown since they were done. I don't know how being an infant will affect the size of the scar as he grows?
