So glad it went well! Thanks for the updates. Your strength is admirable. It's got to be so physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting going through all this. Huge hugs!
Okay, update: Nugget is grounded immediately after birth. The shunt was yanked out and floating around by the head. ?
The good news though is the size of the growth looked good, and it drained quite a bit from Tuesday, so doc was happy. She said sometimes it can heal over the shunt a little (if it was left alone long enough) and continue draining a little on its own. If we're lucky, that could be enough to just monitor it... If not, we go back to the OR and do this all over again.
My next appointment was already scheduled for Monday, so we'll see then how the mass is doing. Growing fast, slow, not at all, or still shrinking.... Based on Mondays measurements we'll figure out what's next.
I'm just catching up on all this now - wow! You have been through a lot, and I can't believe Nugget ripped the shunt out already! Hoping it goes well on Monday for you!

Oh no! Ah man I really hope that you don't have to go thru that again but I know you will if you have to. I'm glad that today looked good otherwise. Hang in there woman.

Oh nugget is trouble already! I hope it continues to drain so you don't have to repeat the procedure. This little one is so lucky to have you for his mama!
Baby Nugget, you are going to get a stern talking to if you don't leave things alone! That shunt was not a toy. You definitely can expect a time out for that if Mommy has to do it all again.
Hoping that the mass is smaller on Monday! Do you know when the labs will come back that says what it is? I think you said they could take up to two weeks. Didn't know if they gave you an estimated date. I am so hopeful for you!

They did say possibly 2 weeks, and that was 1 week ago Wednesday.... So hopefully sooner rather than later. But I'm thinking it could be as far out as the end of next week. I'll definitely let you all know when we hear.
Its frustrating, all of this, but its so completely a one day/week at a time type thing....
Well if there's one thing you can count on, it's that these kids will be big stinkin jerks even in utero! Here's hoping the measurments all go in the right direction and you get an answer likerightnow on what the mass is!!
Yet another update ladies... let's just keep this thread going!
I went in this morning to F/U from last week... From Thursday it has grown again, at a moderate rate. Not as slow as we hoped, but not so fast that she’s highly concerned. But based on today’s measurements she’s still being cautious, so I go back in again on Thursday afternoon (love these last minute appointments!) and now, we are tentatively planning to have to do this lovely shunt procedure again on Friday.
I’m not on the schedule yet, although I was tempted to just ask her to schedule it, because if it’s scheduled then it won’t need to happen, right?! (wishful thinking) but also because that last minute scheduling gets me crappy, crappy times in the OR!
I’ll keep you all posted on the weekly saga of Nugget.
Sending you more hugs trixi282. I'm sorry that it grew again but I am glad that it wasn't a substantial growth. Keeping my FX that you won't need another procedure on Friday. Thank you for updating us. You and nugget are always in my T&Ps.
