To celebrate my 30th birthday today I went all out--brushed my (dirty) hair, put on mascara & lip gloss and took the baby out to frozen yogurt with my SILs and nephews. Not exactly how I'd pictured it earlier (I had dreamed of a cocktail) but when you're running in an hour's sleep it's just what I needed.

Omg. What was supposed to be a three hour drive is probably going to be more like seven. We've been in traffic the whole time. LO is being amazingly chill but I know that can't last forever. Send me sleepy baby vibes! I may have to stay up all night with him, but I'd rather that than him be miserable in the car where I can't hold him.
For no apparent reason our (and 3k other people) don't have power. It's over 95 degrees out without a breeze. I don't have any battery operated fans. It won't be back on until "estimated" 630p. I may melt
