Henry was up and dressed by 8am because "we had to go catch the Pokemon".
Both kids had dr appts. Everything is looking good development wise. Emily is 34" and 30lbs. 97 and 100%. Henry (4) is 40.5" and 40 lbs. 50% even. By got shots. Henry was very brave for the first, not so great for #2. Emily was sad immediately.
Emily is fighting naptime hard today. 35 minutes and counting. Refuses to lie down, keeps pointing to more stuffies and books. Ugh.
Took lo to his 18 month appt this morning. No shots, but he did get a poke to check his iron. He flipped out while the nurse was trying to get enough blood from his toe for the test, and was just beside himself when she put a band aid on it. We finally took the bandaid off because he was hysterical. After that he was pretty good. He did NOT want the doctor to look in his mouth. It took a loooot of coaxing. His pedi said he's doing great. His iron is where it should be and he had a little growth spurt (30.5 inches. We've hit the 7th percentile!) He's 24 lbs and dropped to the 25th percentile for height, but she wasn't concerned since he's getting taller and still gaining. She was impressed with his verbal skills- just in the last week or so we've had an explosion of language. He can even name colors!
We went to the park after we left the pedi's (after another meltdown because he wanted to stay and play with he waiting room toys.) He had a blast running around and was even brave enough to try the slide by himself. Now he's napping and I'm trying to get everything that I neglected yesterday. It was pretty nice to sit on my ass and read HP, though. Yay birthdays. Dh did a lot of the dishes, but laundry is scary for him so that's mostly what needs tackling.
