Things that LO does that drive you nuts!

Let's commiserate.  What's LO doing that makes you say, "No! Stop!"

The toilet thing is not my favorite, but the things that drive me nuts are:

*Screaming when he starts to fall asleep because he doesn't want to sleep.

*Constantly trying to sit on BH's lap so he can pull his hair.

*Getting into the dogfood/water

Throwing food on the ground
Eating our coasters
Trying to pull the lamp and coat rack over onto himself
He has to investigate every single time we open the fridge
Grabs my phone and won't let go

Running his food covered hands through the hair on the side of his head

Wanting to stand in the bathtub

Throwing her cup off the highchair when she's done
Screaming if I walk out of the room
Rolling once I get her poopy diaper off of her
Screeching if she wants more food.

A few examples:

Pulling DD's hair. He does this at least a dozen times a day.

Standing at the head of our bed near the pillows and acts like he is going to throw something behind the bed where it will be hard for me to reach it, like a pacifier or a teether. It is a game to him. Sometimes he lets go of the object.

Standing at the food of the bed, on the box spring (extends a little farther than the mattress) holding on to the bottom of the bedframe. DD likes to stand there to watch TV. LO does it too, but I don't trust him to do it unattended.

Climbing to the top of the anywhere chair to reach something. Also climbing on top of other toys that aren't meant to be climbed on.

Climbing onto the coffee table/end table and trying to knock over the lamp. Or really anything else that is on the table.

I'm sure there are more, but this is what comes to mind, in addition to the toilet stuff.

Pulling my glasses off. I've never cared about Lasiks before, but now I want it done so bad, just so I don't have to deal with LO constantly pulling my glasses off.

ETA: Total example of a FWP, but it made me laugh.  C pulled my glasses off and tried to through them and these were the exact words that came out of my mouth "NO!  No, no C.  You do not throw mommy's glasses.  These are Chanel.  We don't throw Chanel."  My DH looked at me like I was crazy and I told him "What?!  I have to teach her young.  You don't throw Chanel around."

I feel you on this one.  Unless he is asleep I have to be wearing my contacts. He started pulling DD's glasses off too; I'm afraid he is going to break them.

Throwing a freaking temper tantrum every time we tell him no or get him out of somewhere he doesn't belong - that tops my list by a lot.

But also -
- Throwing food off the high chair
- Pinching me (when I'm holding him, hell just grip SO hard and dig his tiny little dagger nails in)
- Refusing to go to sleep when he's clearly exhausted

+ another. I usually take my contacts out after he goes to bed. He's been waking about an hour or so after he goes to bed randomly lately, and then when I go up to get him he gets all riled up trying to reach for my glasses. No. Go to sleep.

Screaming until she is holding every cellphone in the room. All phones must be hidden at all times.

Pretending she wants out of the tub, then she doesn't really when I try to grab her. Repeat x458 every night.

Sticking her hands down my shirt.

Screaming to get out of her highchair, but then literally eating off of her tray if I set her and the tray on the floor. God forbid she be restrained.

Trying to eat every piece of paper or cardboard he sees but refusing food.

+1 to pulling off glasses.

Wanting to climb the stairs constantly, but not wanting to come down.

Refusing to sign milk. He just waits until he has a damn meltdown and I offer.

+1 to toilets and garbage cans. In addition he wants to be able to play in any sink or other body of water we pass. I had to drag him away screaming from the fish tank at bass pro.

Acting like I'm trying to kill him while brushing his teeth.

Turning on and off the cable box.

Trying to unplug fucking everything.

Trying to eat my phone charger.

Sitting on dogs and cats and pulling their tails/ears. (My poor pets are saints)

This reminds me, LO was trying to unplug the router for the internet the other day, which we keep behind the flat screen in the living room.

Throwing everything into the garbage. Favorite right now is her sippy cup, or more recenly opening my bottom dresser drawer pulling clothes out and shlepping them into the garbage can. WTF! We're also down one remote and I'm certain it went out with the trash.

Pinching my nipples constantly. She cracks up laughing while she does it and it freaking hurts.

Whine scream flail throw her head back into the floor. Can't have something she wants = full on meltdown. Like 50 times a day.

The food and sippy off the highchair is SOs crazy factor. I don't know why but it doesn't bother me really.

Drinking her bath water. Staahhp.

Throwing food on the floor. We have her high chair up to the table (no tray) so I've been just scooting her away from the table when she does it now.

One time we were at my mom's house and I got super frustrated and picked up the chair and put her in the kitchen doorway to get her off of the carpet (adjacent to the dining room, maybe 3 feet from where I was sitting) and my sister and her husband thought I was completely crazy. They've even mocked me about it a few times since. Even more frustrating than your child throwing food on the ground is people thinking you're crazy because you're trying to get your child to stop throwing food on the ground!

And along similar lines, she loves to try and splash milk/water out of her cup.

I think all my necklines have been stretched from A pulling at them. He sometimes pulls himself to standing by way of my neckline.

DD has now realized that when we are in the middle of changing a diaper she can sit up...shes been walking for weeks but in the past when we have changed her diaper she just lays there.. Yesterday I felt like i rand a 5k after changing her because of the amount of times i had to lay her back down. Thankfully her changing table at home has a strap. looks like she is starting to get buckled in!

+1 to throwing food off the high chair and the sippy cup. Carl has a sensitive stomach so ingestion of human food isn't an option. O likes to test this. So I have to make a mad dive for the food and pry it out of the dog's mouth. I could just put Carl in another room but he'll cry and whine the entire time. He's an emotional dog.

+1 to the hands going down my shirt and the pinching.
Pulling at my shirt and trying to nurse constantly. I think he would be content to go back to the newborn days when he spent all day every day on the boob.
Taking things out of the oven drawer and other cupboards if they aren't secured.
Crawling behind me crying because I am walking and trying to get something done other than holding him all day.

We have non-slip matts under the kitchen rugs. He loves to pull them out and toss them around. I am constantly either tripping on the rugs or fixing them. Child, please just LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Oh my gosh, this x a million. Last night DS took maybe four bites while he was in his high chair. We took him out, but he was still cranky, so I started offering him pieces of cheese while he wandered/played around the living room. He wound up eating a slice and a half of cheese and like, half his sippy like this. Why can't you just eat when/where you're supposed to???

Jilly has had three bouts of pancreatitis in her life, so when we're in the kitchen eating, we put her in our master bedroom, upstairs on the opposite side of the house from us, and we can still sometimes hear her scratch/whine. It's pathetic, but easier than trying to pry food out of her mouth, especially since DS at one point realized she liked being fed, and thus, feeding the dog was fun. It sometimes helps us if we take her dinner and a treat up there for her.

Am I the only one who has a biter? My kid is like a freaking vampire. And she does it playfully...it's her method of choice for those she loves.

+1 for the unplugging/chewing of cords and for throwing food/cup to signify being finished.
