How often/long are you all doing tummy time? DS hates it and usually just lays there screaming - it's like he won't pick his head up out of spite. I read that babywearing, burping, and other things count which make me think we're ok, but I still worry 😕.
We do tummy time before each feed except for the one that is the early morning feed since they sleep 11ish to 7ish and then go back to bed after that feed until 10:30ish.

My MIL arrives today or tomorrow (she is moving here) so even though I lose my husband to work again she will be here except for interviews until she gets a job. So even though my husband is going back to work I will gain some help and we might start being able to schedule more date nights.

Tomorrow I'm going to the hospital to hang out with my old neighbor while HER daughter gets an MRI. (She gets a full body MRI every 6 months to check on tumor growth)
Have I mentioned that every kid born in one of the four houses in a row has some kind of medical problem? I'm thankful that DDs isn't as serious as our old neighbor's, but it's still worrisome.
That's really scary - has anything been done to test to see if there are any issues with the environment/water?
We've done heavy metal testing, but that's basically the only thing they have a test for and it came back negative.
We have autism, epilepsy, Down syndrome, neurofibromas (NF), and DDs tumor/epilepsy.
I know someone else here also got a Joovy, but with the extra seat in the back. Is their room for LO to sit with the car seat in front?? DD is afraid to ride standing up.

Maybe I missed it, how was the follow up appt yesterday? I know you had an email update, but anythjbg anything else?

So this is super late, but I know there was a conversation about cutting LO's nails previously. I hated the normal clippers and it freaked me out to use them with how wiggly the kiddos can be so I got this at Toys R Us. Totally worth the $15 I spent on it.

That was me. It's a bit tight since you have to recline the front seat all of the way back to put the car seat in the front. I think we will be able to get away with the front seat only partially back though since our infant car seat is on the small side. I'll see if I can convince J (32 lbs, 36 in) to model.
walkek85, are you doing WW? How is it going with breastfeeding? I'm planning on joining when I start up full-time with work in mid-August. I'm refusing to step on the scale until it's time to sign up.
Yes, I am doing WW and I haven't seen any impact on my supply. Even when I pump I am able to get decent ounces. They give you a ton of points, and actually I have a hard time eating all my points some days. I'm down 6 lbs but can totally see a difference in my waist and face. I also don't restrict myself when we travel so I'm sure that has affected the slower weight loss.

DD was 37.5" at her 3 year appt in February.. She looks ridiculous on it. I think we may have missed the window.

So I finally grew a pair and joined my local moms club. They do weekly playgroups grouped by age, help other moms in need, trade babysitting for moms nights out, etc. I'm so excited my two year old will finally have a chance to make some friends, but it means I'll have to talk to other moms in person. Hold me. Why is making friends as an adult so awkward and nerve wracking? Lol. They're getting together at a park Friday morning and I agreed to go. No turning back now.

Man I feel like I'm slacking on tummy time. We only do once a day although hthe length of time has increased.
As a ftm I can't really say how good his head control is compared to what it should be but the home nurse seemed pleased and the doctor hasn't said anything about him not being where he should be.
Both boys were in bed and asleep by 8:30pm (so for about 45 min now). I'm having some wine and then going to bed. Hopefully the little doesn't wake up too often tonight!

I have so much envy for you right now.
This is so out of the norm. I'm nervous that he is going to have a ton of wake-ups tonight. I guess we shall see.

To chime in on the tummy time discussion, we only do formal tummy time for a few minutes once a day. He hates it. But we babywear almost daily and he loves to be held looking over my shoulder so those things definitely contribute in my book. He has excellent head control already so I don't worry too much about it.
I am exhausted and touched out from holding, rocking, soothing both kids today. I loved the snuggles and being able to comfort DD but I needed some space at the end of the night. Headed to bed now and making DH get up with her tonight to give pain meds. It's only fair since I do all of the baby wake ups.

Am I the only person who still needs to finish decorating the nursery?
Nope. I'm not done. Of course we were sidelined by losing everything in a flood, but we've had furniture people gave us in the new room for a long time. I've been having the worst luck with online orders being delivered wrong, damaged or having the order cancelled, so I need to re-order the rug. After that I think I just need artwork and accessories.
DS is coming to class with me today, 9-5 due to my MIL being out of town and no one I trust being available... FX he's as good as he normally is and that I can BF in public!! I pump in class all the time, but somehow BFing seems so much more.. Personal? Idk. I'm just worried how the day is going to go.
How did it go? I feel like pumping is way more personal that bf'ing, although I used to have to pump in my parked car often before/after work meetings. It seems like your program is very supportive of you as a new mom!
R fell asleep in the carrier while listening to her sound machine. But now every time I try to turn the sound machine off she starts to wake up. So frustrating! And it's LOUD. Super annoying. I've tried turning it down slowly, but that wakes her up, too. I'm glad she likes the sound machine so much and it helps her sleep and all, but damn, kid.
We got back from Great Wolf Lodge today. The kids had a great time and it is a fun place, but it was NOT a relaxing getaway for the adults. Keeping track of 8 boys - ages 2 Months, 3 yrs, 5, 6, 7, 14, 15 and 16 was exhausting. So many times the 4 little boys would head opposite directions and there we're only 4 adults most of time (a 5th adult came for part of the time). We had the little boys wear life vests. I had no intention of taking G in the water, although it was like a tiny baby convention and there were tons of other babies his age/size there, and some were in the water. I dressed him in his swim outfit anyways and we did accidentally get sprayed one time.
R and I are going to the coast with my sister on Saturday and it's starting to make me nervous. I'm not sure how to keep her warm enough! It's not going to be cold or anything, but it'll be really windy being next to the ocean and all. It's supposed to be upper 60's and sunny. So pants and socks in the wrap should be fine, right? Ugh, I know I'm over thinking this. I'm just so nervous because last time we were at the coast it was a lot colder than we had anticipated, she was only a week old, and it was FREEZING! I felt so bad she was so cold. I know it'll be better this time, but still. Plus it'll be our first big trip away since that first trip to the coast two months ago.
I need to stop worrying about it and just let my sister pack for me. She's a nanny and takes her kids to the coast all the time so she knows what she needs.
I'm super engorged since its been almost seven hours. Again the "do I wake him?" Question. Im going to try to get back to sleep because I'm sure he will wake any time now lol
