Oh. My. Gosh.
My kids eats so freaking slow. We need to leave the house at 7:10 in the morning to get to work on time. Right now, I wake up around 5:45 to get in the shower. Then DH gets in the shower at 6:15, while I get dressed, and L up and dressed and read a book. We're down in the kitchen by about 6:45. WHY DOES IT TAKE HER MORE THAN 25 MINUTES TO EACH HALF OF A MINI BAGEL AND A FEW BITES OF STRAWBERRIES???
I'm going fucking nuts. Waking up earlier is simply not an option. I'm already basically dying because I'm not getting enough sleep. The only thing that helps speed things up is if a literally feed her. I should not be holding a bagel up to her mouth. She is almost 2. She should be eating on her own.
My only other thought is to just give her pouches in the morning because they are quick (but not as many calories as I'd like her to have for breakfast), and then send her with an extra snack to daycare? She already eats her first snack the second she get to DC.
I don't know if this is a vent, or if I'm looking for advice. But we are routinely leaving the house at least 20 minutes late every day.
The same thing has been happeneing at dinner. It's like she gets lazy and jsut wont fucking eat. I mean, she will eat. She'll clean her plate... but not on her own initiative. We have to say "eat a bit of broccoli" YAY!!!!!!!!! "eat a bit of sausage" YAY!!!!!!!! Ot we literally have to spoon feed her. We don't get home til 6:30, and we usually have dinner on the table at 6:45. It shouldn't take so damn long to eat the little bit that she eats. She does best when going to bed by 7:40 or 7:45, but sometimes, that's how long it takes to eat dinner! If it's bath night, then we end up with an overly cranky gremlin by then time we get her to bed (after 8!!!). And if it's not bath night, we rush to get her to bed, but then there is literally no time to play.
What are you feeding your S14s for breakfast, and how long does it take them to eat? Are the 100% self feeding, or do you have to help them soe that you don't become a senior citizen before they finish their meals?
