How are you feeling mentally and physically? Doing alright. Emotional and so tired.

Symptoms? RLP that takes my breath away sometimes, sore and heavy boobs, SO TIRED. Like seriously, I'm going to bring it up to my OB because I don't know if it's normal to be this tired.

Problems? Nope

Boy/girl? Finding out at A/S in Aug/Sept

Names? Nothing yet

How did any apps go this week? It's tomorrow

When is your next app? Tomorrow

GTKY is there any song that will get you up to do the "dance" that goes with it? No. Not really. I actually kind of hate the "forced participation" songs

I was just thinking about when I was expecting DS1, and DD was about 13 months old and we had just moved to a new community and got our BFP... I remember sitting on our bathroom floor, leaning on the toilet while DD patted my back and babbled "Ok Mommy!" LOL.

Good job ALL OF YOU. This is a tough, tiring stage. But you'll make it!

How far along are you? 6 weeks today!

How are you feeling mentally and physically? Mentally I don't think I 100% believe I'm pregnant yet. Physically, I'm tired, my boobs are killing me, and nausea is starting to come off and on through the day, so I guess I am actually pregnant.

Symptoms? See above.

Problems? So far, so good pregnancy related. If we could get DS sleeping well again, that would help.

Boy/girl? We'll find out

Names? TBD. We have some we like from last pregnancy, but we need to find out boy/girl first.

How did any apps go this week? n/a

When is your next app? Next Friday is my first appointment, it seems so far away still! I'm really, really hoping they will do an ultrasound just so I can see everything is as it should be.

GTKY is there any song that will get you up to do the "dance" that goes with it? Right now I'm so tired, I'm not dancing for anything. I'm not a big dancer in general, though, to be honest.

So I'm CD29 over here today. Not sure when I ovulated, but BFNs the past 3 days. I forgot to test this morning so I'll retest again tomorrow if still no sign of AF. My previous cycles were 38 days, 23 days, and 26 days, so I'm all over the place and have no idea when/if I ovulated.

Today is mine and H's anniversary. It's the leather anniversary so I had been hoping I'd have a BFP positive by now so I could give H newborn baby moccs as his present. No such luck, but whatever I know I don't really have control over when/if I get pregnant.

If I don't get a BFP by next month I want to hold off on trying for a few more months. My brother set his wedding date for June 10th next year near Yosemite, a few hours away from here. I don't want to be super pregnant or have a super new baby at that time. And then it's my 30th birthday in November and I originally wanted to wait until after then to TTC so I could fully enjoy a trip to New Orleans and birthday party (read: get drunk), so if it hasn't happened by next month I might as well wait until after that too.

Feeling a little disappointed but also okay with it and just trying to be more relaxed this time around TTC.

belle0720 my cycle has been all over the place too! Makes it very hard to track, which is probably why I also did not get my BFP this cycle. Back to charting...hope we both have better luck this cycle! For me, an Aug-Oct BFP is actually optimal because it means hardly any time lost from school, so I'm ok this time.

@hazeldublin I can't believe you're in the 3rd tri already! You have such cute LOs...can't wait to see this little girl once she's fully baked!

ETA: Hope all you ladies get a magical burst of energy soon!

I came up with a question - I'm six weeks now. When I move into my parents' house, I'll be 9 weeks. When we move into the new house, I'll probably be about 14-ish weeks. I think that's right about the time I started buying some maternity pants last time, but I was also super super bloated from IVF, and super excited about maternity clothes. I've got about two tubs worth of clothes I saved, and I want to bring them, but H is completely freaking out about the amount of things we're planning on bringing along. I should at least weed out a few pants, though right? I feel like such a newb.

jillywilly, I am almost 14w and I just busted out the maternity pants today. Couldn't wait any longer. Totally happens faster the 2nd time around.

Definitely not throwing anything out! I'm just trying to figure out if I'll "need" them before we're in the new house. Most of our things are going into a storage unit while we're at my parents, so we're trying to minimize the amount of crap we bring with us, since closet space will be at a premium. 

I'm thinking I'll probably bring a few pairs of work pants at least, just because those are already more snug thanks to those last few pounds that never quite went away from DS. Since it should still be pretty warm, I'm thinking for casual clothes I can get away longer with maxi skirts, etc.

Symptoms? Been nauseous more than usual lately

Problems? Carpoo tunnel in my hand caused by pregnancy

How did any apps go this week? Ultrasound went great little peanut was so active. Failed my early glucose test though.

Hannahl201477, the crib we bought for DS converts from crib to toddler bed to full sized bed. We're probably going to buy the same for this next one, and just hope the beds last them through high school it's fairly convenient were moving, so DS will get the room furthest from ours, and the new nursery will be a bit closer, so no need to shuffle rooms. In our current house, if we were staying, we probably would have moved him to a "big boy" room with his same furniture and kept the current nursery for the baby, just for proximity to our room, etc.

Mal sleeps with us currently and naps in our bed too. So I personally think the transition to a normal bed will be easiest for us. It also makes me super nervous. Lol.

We're still NTNP. Some of my RL friends are shocked that we're even doing that so soon, but time is of the essence! I'll probably start being more deliberate in the autumn.

@badwolf321 Can you remind me of the circumstances of your last birth? I had to have an emergency c-section with my son for...well...emergency reasons. I had a VBAC with DD, and my only complaint was an ineffective epidural. Otherwise, I had a MUCH easier recovery.

@badwolf321 you have to do what's right for you but personally, I have no intention of even attempting a VBAC. I had a fabulously easy planned c-section with zero issues and an incredibly easy recovery. I don't feel like I missed out on any part of the birthing experience and plan to happily go the known, successful route again. But if you think it's important for you to try the VBAC, you should!

@badwolf321, VBAC vs. repeat c-section is already probably my number one thing I've been mulling over. I'm definitely planning on discussing it at length with my doctor to get their input, and hopefully your consult helps you come to a decision as well, but I definitely understand the conflicted feelings on which way to go. I have zero desire to attempt VBAC either. I didn't have a planned c-section (it wasn't an 'emergency' c-section either), but it went smoothly and I had an easy recovery as well. At my 6 week checkup my OB even stated that next go around she was putting me in for a routine c-section if that was okay with me. Sign me up doc! But I also know that isn't for everyone. @badwolf32, do what you feel is best for you.

I had an emergency C with B. I'm on the fence as to what to do this time. I will have to talk to my dr about it. Planning a C-section would be convenient but I'm scared recovery would be way worse this time around.

VBAC ladies here is a little info I share with my clients who are considering it

- with having a young toddler how will c-section recovery impact that?
- find and join your local ICAN chapter (you can find them on fb), they have lots of great support and share medical research
- discuss your first labor and delivery with your Dr, what lead to a c-section? what can you do this time to possible avoid those things?
- discuss with your Dr anything that puts you at a higher risk or complications for a VBAC

Its not the right option for everyone but for large majority of Moms if it is something that you want to do - you can do it!

Also @badwolf321 your Dr and hospital are not in line with the most current research and recommendations regarding VBAC. If you want to fight that fight (being induced, not going over due etc.) I am more than happy to send you the literature I have on it. And while having a Dr who is supportive is great, if you go into labor and a "pro vbac" Dr isnt on call they cant force you into an OR for a c-section. If you and your Dr agree its what is safe and best for you then they need to honor that, you arent their patient.

Obvi I have feels on Dr decided what a woman "can and cant" do during labor and delivery

If it helps, my dr told me that patients who have planned c-sections typically recover as fast or faster than patients who go through hours of labor for a natural birth. She said that it can actually take less of a toll on your body, particularly if you go through labor and then have to have a c-section anyway. She was the only doctor in her practice who was willing to talk to me about the benefits of c-sections instead of just shooting down the option. It really made a difference in my confidence and stress levels! So if your recovery wasn't bad with B when it was an emergent c, hopefully that would be the case again. Thinking of you as you make the decision!

Um guys...I've gained 10 pounds in 4 weeks. SOS. This is NOT good. I need to start adding in some sort of prenatal workout into my routine. It has to be something I can do at home. Any recommendations for at home prenatal workout dads or amazon videos?

I did the Summer Sanders workout DVD with DS, and really liked it. It has a different routine for each trimester, and then it has the option to do the "full length" or shortened version of the routine, so it's nice to be able to choose how much time you're putting into it. I wouldn't call it the most vigorous exercise ever, but I'm not sure how vigorous other prenatal routines really are. I'm not the most athletic, so between that and lots of walking, I liked my routine last time around. 

This time, I'm hoping "chasing a one year old" counts as my workout, because I'm not feeling quite ready for anything else yet!

I just got my beta numbers...342. Going for 2nd draw today but I probably won't know the results until Saturday. This is more stressful than last time, at least then I knew how far along I was.

@badwolf321 I would think that because of what lead to the c-section (the cord being wrapped) was unique to that pregnancy, you would be a good candidate for a VBAC. It is obviously absolutely your choice, but my pro-VBAC Doctor was actually saying she felt it was more medically appropriate for me to do a TOL with DD than just a scheduled c-section. In regards to being small, I'm only 5'1" and 100 lbs, and was able to deliver DD safely. Again, to each their own, I just wanted to give you some encouragement if you do VBAC. Good luck!

A little late but here's where we're at this week:

How are you feeling mentally and physically? Mentally I keep psyching myself out with unknowns, like, what if DH is working while I go into labor and I have to drop E off somewhere and get myself to the hospital? What if this labor goes faster than last time, does that mean we should go to the hospital earlier this time? (E was delivered only a few hours after we got to the hospital) Physically though, I'm still feeling good.

Symptoms? Just growing and getting kicked all day long - no complaints.

Problems? Nothing that I can think of.

Boy/girl? Girl

Names? Lincoln Grace (am I the only one with a name so far?)
