I'm trying to get through the next 3 weeks till my 'maternity leave' starts on Aug 15... Really it's just my hard stop date for being in court, but desk work in my pj's sounds so good right now. All this driving around and being on the go is exhausting. I had a judge who had me standing at a hearing for almost an hour, while he and opposing counsel were sitting down. 40 mins in he 'noticed' I was pregnant and ask if I needed to sit down. At that point stupid pride kept me on my feet lol...
Today I just have an early hearing then I'm going to try to get paperwork done, and maybe hit up the pool or beach for a bit...
Kudos to you for toughing it out! I don't think I could stand long enough for an arraignment lol! (I actually bailed on one this past Tues!) Well, some days I feel I can, other days my feet are so swollen that my toes touch and it feels so weird
Morning ladies! I'm so over this heat as well - heat dome?! WTH?!
NST & cervical check this afternoon. I feel like I have a little more energy today which I hope helps b/c we are planning on doing a Costco run as well as other errands after the appt. yesterday I was so exhausted and felt so wiped out that I napped twice!
Have a great Friday ladies and stay cool and hydrated!!
I'm still 3 cm. :( I'm just honestly surprised, with as much as I've had going on. But the good news is she is still head down and really low.
Induction is scheduled for next week. I go in Monday night to deliver Tuesday! I'm nervous because I've never been induced and I'm scared it will end in a c-section, but I'm excited to meet her soon.

Going in for an ultrasound to check fluid levels - and then maybe an amnio? And then maybe scheduling induction? Whoah!
DH called a little while ago to say he was so excited for the appointment this afternoon because maybe we will find out that it's almost time to meet our baby. Tears! It was so sweet.
DD1 randomly woke screaming last night. I thought it was a potty accident, but nope. She had no explanation. We got her calmed down and back in bed, but both girls were so tired today. Yowzas. I left DH taking his work lunch with them and to put them to nap and I came in to make up some hours at work from the nanny fiasco earlier in the week.
I have no more volunteer things to do for DD1's insane swim "team" and only 2 more practices to take her to while chasing DD2 in this heat. I cannot wait. Most of the 4 year olds have just stopped coming at all and I can hardly blame them. The moms who run this thing treat it like they are still trying to get enough volunteer hours and do enough to impress the Ivy Leagues. It's ridiculous.

dc2london yayyyy! And as someone who used to work across the street from food trucks, they are graded like restaurants and have the be licensed so just make sure they have either and you'll be fine. Also if there isn't a line of people getting food then don't go to that cart.
Oh nan, finally found parking and it's in food truck heaven. Probably best not to eat food off a truck whilst in labor, huh?
They should be up to the same standards as a restaurant. Maybe google the one that you want to ensure there are no health code violations.
We don't have a lot of food trucks, but in my experience they are cleaner and the food is fresher than most restraints. I say eat all the truck food then go have a baby! Sounds like a rock star of a day to me!!!!
countrycotton if you ever go back to my old neighboorhood there are a ton of food trucks I guess because real estate is a premium. But yeah the food is better and fresher than most restaurants. I'll eat at a good food truck any day.
I know DC meant "oh man" but I read it as Naan and now I need some.
Baby is normal sized, albeit with really broad shoulders/large belly so they decided I can go all the way to 39 weeks. They've decided that the baby is probably just built that way.
Induction is scheduled for 8/11 at 8 pm. Other than checking my blood sugar every hour and checking the baby's blood sugar right away, they're going to treat me like a normal induction. I'll be able to move around, won't automatically get a glucose/insulin drip, etc. After all the extra appointments and monitoring it was kind of nice to hear that they consider my delivery to be normal risk.
I'm excited to have a set end date, although I admit I'm still holding out a tiny bit of hope that I go into labor on my own before that even though I know it's not that likely.
gratefulgirl i commend you for volunteering. I was a competitive swimmer growing up. I won't do that with my kids because I refuse to volunteer. I hate timing and dnw to run a snack table. I took my younger brothers to their meet and they didn't have enough timers so my old coach tried to force me to do it. I was like nope, never again. They gave me the stink eye the rest of the night but I didn't care because I was reading my book

We have like three, and for the most part they open in the evening downtown, the bar area. So not really my thing to go there and deal with the drunks. We do have super awesome burger truck!!
I totally read naan, too! Ummmm garlic naan would go so well with my left over lasagna.
