I'm in the waiting game too, but only at 36&1. I've been having a lot of BH and back pain, and baby is pretty low. I am trying not to be miserable, but 4 more weeks might break me...
I am surprised and a touch jealous that so many of you have official end dates. Who else is in the limitless waiting game with me?
Me I'm over 39 weeks and have no idea what happening down there. They don't even do NST's till 41. I'm thinking of begging for an induction at 41 since we have no local help it will make planning easier and that last week being pregnant sucked terribly with DD.
38+ weeks here and no end date. Been walking like crazy. Might make something spicy tonight for dinner and seduce the hubby. I'm desperate. Doctor is going to do his first cervical check and a stretch and sweep on Thursday. Unless things change, he won't do an induction until 41 weeks
remylove1011 that sounds like my first pregnancy. I didn't feel any contractions or bh's but when I was checked at 40 weeks I was 3 cm dialated. Three days later contractions started at a level 10 every few minutes apart and baby was born 8 hours later. So don't feel discouraged!

Me! Me! And along with you, I feel some jealousy when I see so many with an end in sight. I'm only 36 weeks, so I have a loooong ways to go in this waiting game.

With DD2 it seemed like everyone I knew had an end date before 40 weeks and I was just sitting there going "I need enough time to go into labor to try my VBAC before my back-up c/s!" But I was still jealous of those with a something scheduled at 39 weeks, and that was back when 3rd trimester was basically just a continuation of second trimester for me. Hang in there, ladies. You can do it!

I'm 36 weeks and feel like crying when I come to this board and see everyone finishing. I could be pregnant for six more weeks.
I commiserate with you. I get so anxious like "it's go time!" when I see all these babies. Then realize how far I really have to go. On the plus side...it's almost August. We are close.

You know, I felt SO CLOSE after I hit 30 weeks - like "OMG - less than TEN WEEKS until this baby is due??!!!" Why - 8.5 weeks later, do I feel even further away?! Every day feels like a week at this point.
Yesterday while I was washing/organizing baby clothes, I looked at DH and said, 'ya, know, she could show up as early as next week." Without missing a beat he replied "or she could show up Labor day weekend." I nearly broke down tears when I realized he was right (I'd be 41&4).

I was the same with my first--I'd been dilating & having contractions, just didn't feel them until my water suddenly broke at 39 + 5. DS was born about 9 hours after that. Hopefully you'll have a similar experience, @remylove!

Hopefully this is what will happen with me! My mom said this is what happened with my older brother and she had fairly quick labors too.

We have a pool at work. One of my coworkers counted out 42 weeks and said "I'll pick a few days before that." So, she picked September 1st.

I still haven't forgiven her.
With DD#1 DH picked the 19th in his work pool. She was due on the 10th and I was so annoyed he picked 9days over. She came on the 24th. Seriously the most miserable last week ever.

I hope you smacked him
I really wanted to but he would have run before I was able to waddle over to him lol. I did say it was the meanest thing he has ever said to me, and I truly meant it.

38w 3d today with no end in sight. I have had painful contractions on and off since Friday. Baby boy is so, so low I feel like he is going to fall out. There is so much pressure on my pelvic bones that I feel like they may actually break. It's like he's pushing them non stop. Friday I was not dilated or anything when they checked.
My next appt is this Friday. My Dr said they will do elective inductions after 39 weeks, but I think I'll wait until 40 even though I'm miserable. Ds1 came on his own at 39w4d.

joy busted me doing the dirty lurk! Things have been going pretty smoothly for us, nothing crazy to report! DH is back on his feet at work full time, my two LOs and the house keep me super busy all day. DD is getting ready to start kindergarten soon and DS (15months) must know something is up because he has been a clingy nightmare recently. So excited seeing everyone coming to the finish line! I have my weekly BPP and dr visit tomorrow and I'm hoping they tell me I'm getting closer! For all the trouble I had with this pregnancy, I never expected to be sitting around waiting for her to come at this point. I'm super grateful, but after back to back babies, also super done.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize you meant a betting pool as opposed to a swimming pool, which coincidentally often close around September first.

Also in the waiting game. 37+1 currently. I was having major intense contractions every few minutes a couple weeks ago. Now, nothing. Both of my other kids came at 39 weeks so I'm hoping the trend continues.

HAHA. This is funny!!
Yes, betting pool. A whole dollar gets you a guess :-)
