dorkusmalorkus, congratulations! What a story! I'm glad they got you a room in time. How did you know your water broke when you were in the tub? I hope you get some good rest and snuggles with baby S!
I'm pretty sure it's a little bloody? So if the water changes color, that's when I'd assume my water broke.
But hey, take my words with all the grains of salt. I'm not there.
Hehe, I had mine broken last time at the hospital so I have no idea what it looks like it feels like naturally!

I kind of felt it pop, and the fluid coming from that specific area. I was surprised I noticed it, what with the jets going in the tub!
ETA--Rama's right--the nurse confirmed that it had broke because I was spotting a little on the towel on the floor afterwards. Also, I had my water broken with DS, and I thought that having them break spontaneously feels pretty similar.

I went for my ob appt at 10 after having contractions through the morning, but nothing consistent. I was 5cm so was sent to the hospital. An hour ago, I was 7 and I'm currently awaiting an epidural. Looks like it's baby's birthday today!!

Good luck ivehearditbothways! I didn't have anxiety after the epi. But since I was having a c section I was very glad I couldn't feel anything! the weird part was my legs waking back up.

But yes, also jealous. So, so jealous. I broke down in tears after my OB appointment today, and am now utterly convinced my body will never go into labor on it's own and I'll be induced two weeks from now and it will be unsuccessful and result in an emergency c-section. Of course, DH won't take me seriously at all, and I can't blame him. However, if being 39 weeks pregnant isn't the time to be unreasonable, I don't know what is.

Ahhh, she's here! Daphne was born after a smooth and easy delivery, despite my anxiety over that epidural! Boy, was it nice to not feel any pain, though!
Hoping for more babies soon and an easy time for all those waiting...!
