Has anyone had any luck getting their membranes stripped? I'm wondering if I want to try that on Friday. I'm not a huge fan of having people near my cervix pre labor, but I might make an exception if it actually does something.
Just catching up so this has probably been covered. Positive anecdote here. I went into labor hours after mine was stripped. I will say it was extremely painful for me.

So remember when I was all like Omg I need weeks to prepare for baby? I'm so done now. Hit me like a brick wall. I can't eat, can't sleep and can't stop contracting! School is done, works done enough. Come on beh beh!!!!
36w4d so not really thinking it will happen soon but at least I finally arrived at third tridom. Took me long enough.
In other news, my new boss is awesome. Made me put it in my annual goals to have work life balance.
s2 refuses to listen to anything I say. S1 has awful gas that he was grunting and screaming on the potty. Which is hard because there is zero things I can do to help. And H is just irritating me. Stop whistling. Vent over. Feels better thanks:)
DH and I both had sprinkles at work this week. Both VERY unexpected, but really nice. We got a bunch of Amazon GC's and a GC to a local place that delivers freshly cooked dinners if you order by 3pm!

So the last couple days I've had a sharp pain on my left side/back that I thought might have been a rib. It's been especially bothersome today so I've been using a heating pad, but it wasn't helping much.
About an hour ago I leaned down to fix the couch, heard a "pop", and then the pain got really intense. I was afraid I had broken a rib. I talked to my doctor who said I couldn't have broken a bone, but I likely did something to the muscles/ligaments/cartilage. Unfortunately there is nothing to be done about it except take some Tylenol and suck it up. She said sometimes they give narcotics for it but they really try not to at this point in pregnancy.
It's been an hour and the pain is still super intense. I can barely move and breathing too deeply hurts so I'm short of breath. It's going to be a rough night.

Breakfast for the rest of the week is going to rock. Plum and cardamom chia puddings and Greek yogurt and flax pancakes are all prepped. Glad to finally have some tasty GD (and after! That tasty!) go-this.
bocaburger, lovetit for sympathy, that sounds so painful. I have had some scary lower pelvic girdle snaps and pops in the last few days, and one seriously loud back pop just over my hips. Each one I was terrified I hurt something, but it seems like I must just be exploding. I just don't wanna move some days.

bocaburger Sorry for the rib pain! thelorax I had my membranes stripped with DD on a Tuesday and went into labor on Friday. Not sure if it caused it or not but possibly!
SO. MUCH. PRESSURE. If I'm not more dilated on Thursday I'm going to smack my doctor. I just decided it should be his fault.
I have decided to blame my DH for my lack of further progress at yesterday's appt. He has a product proficiency exam today and CLEARLY the baby likes him best and is waiting for him to finish his exam. It's definitely his fault.
