Good morning. I'm in a lot of pain this morning. It feels like I pulled every muscle in my stomach and back, making it difficult to move. I'm taking the toddler to mils because bending over to dress him was excruciating. I've never felt this type of constant wide ranging pain. Normal for end of pregnancy aches and pains?
sadpanda, I am also in a lot of pain, especially my back. Last night I could barely walk.
Ds1 is feeling a bit better 2 days into antibiotics. Soo over emotional though, which is rough. And now he has diarrhea from the meds. I have him on a probiotic and have given some yogurt. It's so gross. I'm keeping him in a pull up rather than underwear because I am over cleaning poop out, even though he's been fairly good about getting to the bathroom in time.

Good morning!
Day 3 of WFH. Slept until 7 minutes before I was supposed to start working. Wonderful :-) DH WFH with me yesterday, which was SO nice. I even forced myself to stop working at 4pm sharp (thats when our office closes). It did a lot for my sanity, so I need to stick to that today. Trying to accept the fact that whether baby comes today or two weeks from now, I will never be "caught up" on work, and it's pointless to try - I just need to do the best I can to stay on top of the important things each day, but still give myself some "me" time.
In baby-related news, I'm 99% sure I've started losing my mucous plug. I may have actually said "What's that?!" out loud in the bathroom before thinking "OH!" and doing a little mental happy dance. DH and I had the sex yesterday, so maybe that shook things up a little! I know it may mean nothing, but I will take ANY "signs" I can get at this point.
hollyberry if you have an option to keep them there so you can heal do it. Especially at night. You'll have plenty of nights with them soon enough. It's hard recovery from a c section with one baby so I image even harder with two. Try to find a nice balance between getting up and moving and also resting.
Well, I have a feeling the next few days will be hard to sleep at night! I woke up in the middle of the night thinking of the upcoming induction - racing imagination! Insomnia is rough.
bocaburger I dislocated ribs with DD#1 and honestly (for me) giving birth didn't hurt too bad and once she came out the pain was way, way better. The birth class I went to said you could only focus on the first pain signal that gets to your brain and the first pain signal seemed to always be from other spots . I went to the chiro a few days after birth to make sure everything was back in place, but the relief was really fast. Getting there sucks. I hope it better soon!
If it's ok with your doctor Icy/hot style patches can really help! Edit the ribs didn't hurt too bad. Giving birth sucked.

Thanks for the commiseration ladies, although I'm sorry others are in such pain too. Just dropped the little man off, I really need to finish my course today- one more assignment. I should also clean but so tired and in so much pain.

youdontsay - I find I am fairly capable by the time I leave the hospital. Just stay on top of pain meds.
Had an OB visit today. It was early, but I banked on the girls waking me up as usual. So of course they slept in. We made it, though. My cervix is still closed, which is fine by me given I want to make my RCS date. DD3 is currently transverse, which I expected. It doesn't really matter this time. Nice to have that stress off!
hummingbird125 I've been losing some mucus plug over several occasions the past few weeks...it's not necessarily a sign, which I know is frustrating for you, but comforting for me! Hope that things get going for you soon.
It has been a busy day on the BMB this morning already!!
The amount of toilet paper we go through now is obscene, given how much I pee all the time. I am so tired because of my stilted sleep.

Well I guess I spoke too soon about how well the babiea were doing. Baby girls heart alarm went off a few time today. Basically that means that it was 70 or under for a certain amount of time. She is not allowed to come home until she has a whole week without an alarm. On the good side, if they were born today not monday, then they would not have even been monitored. So I guess thats a good thing that she got to be monitored. Baby bpy can stay with her until she gets to go home. So we will see what we do about that. I guess for now I don't have to think about it since I am still here and will be at least until Saturday, and likely can a bit longer if the babies stay longer too.
What a day for me to start loosing my hormones and my emotions are all over the place.

hollyberry last time DD had mucus in her lungs and was choking off and on so they kept her in the nursery so they could keep an eye on her. It was great for my recovery and I was so glad she was safe as the first time she started choking was in my arms talk about terrifying!!!
My sister (who lives several hundred miles away) just IM'ed me to tell me it's time for me to give birth bc she "needs a vacation." Oh.
Yesterday, my sister listed all the reasons she's stressed right now: - work is busy - moving to a new apartment - guy she's dating - "you're having a baby"

My mom picked up my kids for the day. She asked me how baby is doing which seems nice but is just her way of asking if I'm keeping it from her that I'm in labor. She hasn't asked up until now. I was a premie so she says I'm likely to have a premie. Actually neither boy was a premie so let's wait for her to come on time.
And then when my two year old was crying because he wanted candy and I said no, she told him she would give him candy as soon as they get to her house. Reason number 9999 I am ready to SAH. I need more control.

hollyberry sending you and the babies so many hugs!
I had another hematology appointment and my platelets are back down. Again. Last week when I was in triage they were up to 127, now they're down to 93. The doctor gave me a B12 shot and told me to come back next week, but not to worry. I hate this doctor because he doesn't even review a chart. He tells me to go get some exercise, I told him that when I walk it feels like a bowling ball is falling out of my vag. He just looks at me. I'm like "because I'm pregnant?" He's like oh yeah, that's right. Do you not even pay attention?!
I'm calling my OB this afternoon and see what she says about this. I'm over it. This child is sucking the life out of me already.
My CWs are driving me crazy so I'm all for induction anytime soon before the scheduled C/S.
Hugs hollyberry! I can commiserate on how those week requirements can mess with your mind. Hopefully yall can stay together for as long as possible. Give yourself a break on the hormones. Anyone who takes care of postpartum patients will be understanding
hollyberry, sending good thoughts and hope you are not too stressed out!
coffeequeen14, sigh, it is hard to work with grandmas sometime. A few days ago, my MIL brought home food from In N Out and when DD saw the soda cup, she asked for some water (thinking it was water). MIL told me that it was 7-up so I could give it to toddler DD. Umm...no.
FIL picked up SD and commented on how I really only grew in my belly. "you had it really easy again this time around"
No. Not at all sir.
Every time someone says, "You look amazing things must be really going well/easy for you right now!" I want to death glare them and say if semi-constant contractions for weeks is well then sure.
Yes this drives me crazy! You look so great for twins ummm thanks not sure how to take that....
