bighair12 I think that all time when she wakes up in the 5am hour... Like maybe if I hold completely still she will go back to sleep until the 6am hour!
This morning I brought her to nurse and snuggle in bed with me and we both got a good morning nap in! It is still super hot here as well so we are going to try and stay cool today!
I made the cardinal sin on Monday of saying that C is a good sleeper. Cue him waking up at 3:30 the past two nights and not going back to sleep. I'm currently sitting in the car after driving him around, so at least one of us is getting some rest.

I'm so over this heat! We've been under heat advisory so much this week that I haven't even gone grocery shopping because LO is just overheats too easily. We'll try again next week and we'll be using a pick up service. Lots of take out this week.

We are successfully on the road. So far, so okay--E is sleeping and DD is watching Frozen. The packing process was overwhelming but somehow completed. And DD actually slept again last night, making me hopeful the worst of HFM is behind us.

It's uncanny, like they know you've DARED to hope sleep will be consistently decent. I jinx myself like that all the time too.

Both boys are passed out. IM exhausted but not able to nap. We went to a moms/play group this morning. DS1 was crazy, but didn't hit/hurt anyone so that a win in my book. He did however grab the edge of a table hang off of it and apparently it was not anchored to the wall because it tipped over. Thank god for this other moms cat like reflexes because she caught it before it landed on him. I have no idea how she did it, but she saved him from being seriously injured.
Haircut tomorrow! I think I'm going to cut it short again. Not pixie short, but short. I'm in my sister's wedding next weekend so I don't want anything too crazy, but I'm looking forward to something a little more sleek and funky, along these lines maybe? Suggestions? My hair is really thin and fine, with a lot of wave. I prefer something kind of fun so I don't end up like this -

I was the mom with the crying baby at the store and the very unhealthy cart. I'm sure everyone was judging but I will enjoy my Mac and cheese, IcecreaM, pop tarts, and cookies very much over the next few months! I had fruit and veggies too but not as many because I stocked up on those last trip.
vivela I like it! But bangs would drive me a bit nuts. I have stick straight hair so I don't know a thing about waves, but I like sandandsea 's options too! Also have you seen "the cut" skit on SNL? It is like mom jeans for hair! It is hilarious!

I totally judged a mom the other day she had one perfectly behaved 2/3 year old girl and her cart was full of healthy organic fruits vegetables etc. Oh and she was thin, perfectly matched outfit and perfect make up. I thought to myself oh must be nice little miss perfect! As I grabbed some Celeste pizza for DS1 to add to the Mac and cheese, pasta, chicken nuggets and other really great meals I had in my cart. Not to mention the cookie DS was eating because that's how we get through the store without too many meltdowns!
I would have loved to see you because I would have thought thank god I'm not the only one!

On my first outing out with both kids, they both were screaming at me in Target. It was embarassing, but I got a look from a mom that said "I know what that's like". Trust that most people are in fact not judging. And if they are, they're just jerks.
We get produce, dairy and meat from one store and all the other food from another. So sometimes my cart is fairly healthy, but the other half of the time it's nothing but sweets, snacks & frozen dinners. I know I get side eyed but I don't care!
My baby will not nap during the day or let me put her down. I'd even be fine with nap jail but she is just so restless. Go to sleep child!!!! I just want to pee and eat lunch by 4pm. That's all. My toddler is getting up from nap soon. I'm still adjusting to this no break at all thing.

I'm sorry! FX she settles down soon! Maybe you will get a good night tonight!

The bangs I have already had for ages, I've got that part down at least! I haven't seen that sketch, I need to catch up on my SNL eps, I haven't watched it for ages.

So I am tired of going through so many tank tops and receiving blankets a day. The baby just ends up spitting up on both and it is twice as much laundry. So today I just took a receiving blanket and tied it around me like a tube top. Briliant mom hack or just giving up on adulting for the day?

It was a day of visiting friends. Some of the friends I hadn't seen in years- at least six or seven years- and it was like nothing had changed at all! DS has eaten so much tonight. The kid loves breast milk. He ate around 6:30, I gave him a bottle with 2.5oz around 7:45 and he just nursed again. He passed out now and will probably sleep until about one.

I've never thought to judge other people's grocery carts. I will have to start, lol.
I am in desperate need of a haircut myself, but I have really thin, fine, flat, straight hair so nothing ever really looks great. Probably just a trim on my current cut. Need to do that before I go back to work on the 8th.
