I recently watched the first episode of GG. I thought it was shit. Didn't watch anymore.
Haven't read more. But my UO was going to be about GG, too. I watch the show, and like it, but I, by no means, think it is a "good" show, and was surprised when people said that in the best TV show thread.
I watched it all, and enjoyed it. There's some witty banter and interesting dialogue. But... "Best" show? In any category? No. When I think best I think stand out acting across the board, mostly not predictable, etc. For this reason I struggle with putting sit coms on that list at all.
Agreed its all out maturity level. I know her sister and would not let her watch the kids now at 19 much less 15
This makes me feel better. I think I'm bringing a lot of my own baggage into this because at 15 I was a trouble maker who was already smoking pot and I would take my parents car with only a learners permit and drive it around town. I just had no perception of consequence. But not every 15 yr old is going to be like that. Just like not every 21 yr old or 40 yr old is responsible either
Did you notice in old Thomas shows they call the boss 'the fat conductor'. It's so odd. On the new Thomas they gave him a name
We have the English-accented Thomas and he's still interchangeably called the Fat Controller and Sir Topham Hatt. I keep trying to get E not to call him the Fat Controller but she won't go for it. I think PC language can go too far but I think they should drop the "Fat" here too.
Yes fat controller. O hasn't picked up on his name yet and we mostly watch the new version
I don't like newer houses. (Late 80s and on.) I think a majority of houses turned into a set of designs and construction frames. I love the artistry and unique-ness of older homes. They have so much more character. (I found another house I like that's put in all new amenities of a modern home without the blah blandness of new homes.
This is a UO in this house. H doesn't like older homes a majority of the time.
The first house H and I had together was a beautifully newly renovated house from 1911. Our current house was built in 2003. I always say the size, location, and everything practical about our new home is much more suited for our family (and I am so so happy we are here), but I will always miss the character of that first house.

agree. We lived in a 1904 house for a couple years and I LOVED that house. The one we're renting now was built in the 40's I think, but doesn't have the original cabinets which makes me sad...
