My story is pretty similar to daisylola11 (minus the honeymoon baby )We met at a party at the end of our freshman year in college. We also had lots of mutual friends and were apart for the summer. But he flew out to visit me with my family that first June and I visited him later that summer. I think that's when I knew it was real. And that was that. We got married in 2009 and had DD in 2015! Seems crazy that we've been together for 13+ years now!!!
I met DH when I was 30 and he had just turned 23. We met at a bar - I made fun of him about something. Anyway, I had always dated younger guys and was determined that I would not be doing that anymore - DH lied and said he was 27 so I was okay with it. Little did I know....
Shortly after we met, he was deployed to Afghanistan and we lost contact until he was injured and had access to email in the hospital. When he got back to the US we started hanging out (he lived 2 hours away on base) and when he was discharged in January 2011 he moved in with me. We got married August 11, 2012.
We had Dylan when I was 36 and DH was 29 and will have this baby when I am 37 and DH is 30.
BFP #1 December 2012 - MMC January 2013, D&C February 2013 BFP #2 October 2014 - DD arrived July 16, 2015 BFP #3 July 2016 - MC @ 9 weeks August 2016 BFP #4 Due January 2, 2018 - Please stick baby!

I guess technically I'm on the old bench too! We met when I was 22 and he was 23. I was living with 3 guys, one happened to be one of his friends. We were both in relationships with other people then, but occasionally saw each other throughout the next few years at bars, parties, birthday dinners, etc. I decided to move from my college town to Cleveland at 25 and we reconnected there. He asked me out on a date and I said yes. We aren't married (I'm almost 30 and he's 31 now), but it isn't a huge priority at this point. We have so much student loan debt that we joke that we'll never be able to afford a wedding anyways. If we get married, it'll most likely be low key on a beach somewhere after baby #2.
@swarley I'm missing 41 by two months on delivering this little one! I'm in the old camp Sure don't feel it though.. minus being tired, but that can easily be attributed to the kids and life!
I also feel like the biggest nerd! I met my hubby playing World of Warcraft. I was living four states away. When he told me he worked for the company that made the game, I thought he was just trying to impress a "girl". Lo and behold, he actually does. He invited me out to BlizzCon. (Major gaming convention put together by the makers of World of Warcraft.) I'm not crazy I brought my best friend with me. I wasn't interested in dating him at all.. I was in a relationship.. as dead as it was, and I was determined to make it work. But.. I couldn't get him out of my mind, no matter how doomed I thought it was. Had a ball with him.. went to the next two BlizzCons without my best friend.. three years after that first BlizzCon, he asked me to marry him. I packed up my older two, moved to SoCal (somewhere I NEVER wanted to live, lol), and four years later, we've got twins, survived the NICU, deal daily with teenage daughters, and we're having our last.
He's 32 and I'm 40. THAT makes me feel old sometimes. ~laugh~
