I took some time off between whole 30's so I could have some yummies for my birthday and my brother's. I just assessed the damage this morning and only +2. So easy to gain haha, but not too bad. It's crazy how diligent I have to be in order for the scale to move.
I started running this week, well a walk jog combo. I thought I would start with the couch to 5k but maybe there is a better option to ease into it?
I've heard good things about couch 2 5k but for some reason have a mental block.
I started back at it tonight with an app (running for weight loss) mainly because I accidentally clicked a link in FB and viewed it as a sign.. So far so good.
I've always been a runner and day 1 seemed too easy, but I also think (hope?) it will keep me from starting out too fast/hard and that I can keep up with it.
I'm also contemplating starting up 30. Day shred again.. Or at least the first 20 days before I go back to work. I hate level 3 and feel like it's super awkward and ineffective.
I started getting into running when DS1 was around 18 months. I have never run any races or anything but I was in the best shape since early college and I felt so good about the way I looked and results I got.
I felt the same way you did with the first week of the couch to 5k, itching to kick it up. But like you said it's prob better to ease into it. I tend to get a sore knee if I overdo it.
I don't know anything about the 30 day shred. Does it compliment the running?

30 day shred is a Jillian Michaels video. It's a 3 part series, each part being 10 days. It combines cardio and weights for a workout that's done in under 30 minutes, including warm-up and cool down, and is a pretty effective workout. I seem to do it a couple of times a year or so. But I hate level 3..
When I had thought we were OAD, I got a personal trainer, and a lot of the moves she had me do were moves from the 30-day shred. I had better results from the trainer, but I also didn't have to pay much for the videos vs. the trainer
