kemdupuis aww I'm sorry I'm not looking forward to having to ditch sahm-ness at all.
One of our cars has a tail light out. Instead of going to get it fixed, we've been avoiding using it. I'm sure it's only like $40 max, but I'm just too lazy to go to the mechanic. It's quite stupid.
On Friday, DH & I are going on a double date with one of his friends. I'm soooooo looking forward to guacamole & margaritas.

I put wheels on the bottom of A's little toy crate last night and he thinks it's the cats meow. Then I made the mistake of sitting him in it to go for a ride....now I need to buy him something with a handle because I can't push this box around the house all day.
Oh and I called the vet to make Boatey an appointment tomorrow because I think he might have a UTI. The receptionist wants me to collect a fresh urine sample before the appointment......really.
bookninja, O takes 2.5 mL of infant motrin and I know the last dosage listed on the box is 1.875 mL. Give your pediatrician a call and ask for the dosage based on your LO's weight.
How much does O weigh? I've still been giving A the 1.875 mL dose. I wonder if I've been dosing him wrong?

I'm trying to set up some kind of exercise schedule/goal for myself while H will be away like @badwolf321 suggested. Just called my old CrossFit gym and most likely will be re-taking the Foundations classes. They have 4:30 group classes daily plus weekend classes, so I'll have to see if I can temporarily switch my work schedule to 8-4 instead of 8:30-4:30, and make sure MIL won't mind me coming home at 6 instead of 5:15 two days a week. On the plus side, the other three days I'll be home by 4:45, half hour earlier than usual. Do you think this is selfish and alot to ask of MIL? She's obsessed with M though and never complains about watching him.

He was over 27lb at his 1 yr appointment. It's the next dosage on the chart that the pediatrician gave to me.

I am looking up shuttle options to the airport next week since we are leaving at an ungodly hour and we don't want to burden anyone with that. One company I found is $45 for two people, the other is $19... something seems not right about that. But I can't figure it out to know that I shouldn't just take the $19 one.

Today has been a series of slightly embarrassing events at work. First, someone caught me mid stuffing my face with chips in the break room. Then I was walking by the director earlier when I was headed to the bathroom and I had some poop cramps so I was walking kind of funny, and then when we passed a little (very small) fart came out, I am unsure if he heard me or if he even knew it was a fart. Then finally when I was in the bathroom, the janitor knocked on the door and started to come in to clean it, I had to yell that I was in there. I should probably just go home now.

I know it's crazy and I'm not helping our nighttime sleep situation any, but I find myself wanting to hold A for naps again. Seeing him walk so much the last few days is just tugging at my heart.

Sorry, but lol to the fart. That reminds me of my life after lunch at work. It's hard to be a dental hygienist with gas.

Oh I'm way worse, after having G in her crib for the past 2(?) months I totally missed bed sharing with her and I've been bringing her into our bed if she wakes up in the middle of the night at all. Baby snuggles make my world go round.
I've been meaning to share this with you guys. This is an email that our real estate broker sent us after our open house:
I tried looking up on Facebook to see if there is a Jennifer Lawrence in my town that I should know of and turned up nothing LOL. I wanted to respond like, "Umm..Katniss Everdeen? HUH??"

No judgment here. A is still in the bed with us. We tried the crib again for a couple of weeks and the teething hit again. It's easier for me and I honestly sleep better.
beersandweirs Did you do the old "cover-up cough" afterwards to try & mask the fart?. The worst situation to be in though when you really need to poop!
Taking a 2 day trip to with my parents doing the touristy thing in Mennonite country. It's lovely but holy crap it's stressful. My kid is a demon, will not nap, will not sit & will not eat and is just bawling at everything. And now Im currently in sleep jail b/c he screams like he's terrified of this room everytime I put him to bed. To be fair this B&B is creepy AF & if I'm honest I'm not too keen either...ugh, nothing like a relaxing getaway.
Lol travel with kids is no joke!! Sorry you guys aren't having more fun:(
Here's a very special snowflake question - where do we stand on teething poops? Real thing or just unexplained diarrhea? DS' day care teacher asked me this afternoon if he was teething because of his poops. He just woke up after having pooped himself and has been crying a half hour straight (after changing him). H is currently trying to get him to settle. Is this the work of the teething devil? And if it is, how long does this hell last?

jillywilly I just yesterday blamed LOs low grade fever and diarrhea on teeth. Our peds assistant told me flat out that teething doesn't cause either of these things but every. single. tooth. that LO has gotten, she's had a low grade fever and a bout of diarrhea right before it breaks through. So.. who knows?

Yeah, H and I kind of joked that anytime we don't really know what's going on, it's teeth. He's acting fine during the day, and eating, so I don't think it's a classic tummy bug, but who knows. Whatever it is, it can't pass soon enough! These diapers are terrible, especially the night ones.
kemdupuis hugs for your struggle with going back to school. I'm dreading it too. I'm working "flight school" (our mascot is an eagle) next week. They're only half days, and J will be with H, but I'm already feeling panicky about it. As exhausting as being home with him all summer is, I don't want to give it up at all. Kristykristyleelee J loves to play with the dog food and chewies. Also, the dogs have an Ewok toy that he's obsessed with. We got him his own, but it's clearly inferior...according to baby taste.
Random question for bf mamas (or really anyone who wants to weigh in): how do you feel about breastmilk jewelry? It's "world breastfeeding week" and a friend of mine posted a couple of places that are doing special promotions for it. When I explained it to H, he thought it was weird. But I'm all sentimental about being OAD and have had such a good experience with bf so far...so I don't know. Maybe it's creepy? Is this like saving locks of hair or teeth? (Now I'm thinking that this has been covered in a FFFC thread at some point...)

I plan on ordering a piece for Christmas or my birthday.

I'm not sure if we're OAD, but if I still had some milk left in the freezer I would do it. I feel like it's one of those things that I would rather have than regret not doing. I'm not sure I could make myself pump right now to get extra milk though.
