Work today! So glad I'm working from home. Figuring out our morning routine is going to take a few days and it's nice not having to worry about getting to the office.
You will probably see me on here more too since I find it easier to keep up on my laptop than my phone.
Ummmm my baby STTN!!!!! I just got 7.5 hrs uninterrupted sleep! I'm sure it'll be a while before it happens again but Im thankful. I start working nights this weekend and this makes me feel better about my mom watching her when both DH and I work.

Mine is still in a diaper at night. And will be for awhile.
DH one-uped me last night by putting both kids bed by 8 while I went out to get groceries. He put lo to bed in his room and the monkey slept until 3:30, ate and went back to sleep until 7:30.
Much better night here! Two brief wake-ups! I will take it.
I have people coming to fix our sprinkler system today. I hate home repair stuff. Ugh.
+1
I ran over two of our termite pod things with the lawn mower and busted them. Told pest control a few weeks ago and they haven't come out to replace them. I hate having to call these people! Also they changed names for the third time. I'm thinking we may need to switch companies.
So this morning has gone better than expected! I went to daycare to help H with drop off and it went smoothly. I also already have a big project assigned to me. AND I finally got a meeting with my boss so I will sit down with her this afternoon! That's a huge relief and a bit of stress taken away. My boss did inform my coworkers I'm starting work on Monday - it was supposed to be today. So I'm using today and tomorrow to catch up on emails and see what updates have been made with all the Adobe programs. And I'm applying for other jobs.
I was so scared to leave DS at daycare this morning but glad I have things to keep me busy today. Feeling good!
Both kids wet the bed last night and J peed on the floor in a botched attempt at using the potty. Not the best morning we have had as a family.
Toddler moms, any recommendations for overnight training pants? I know nothing about this.
We do a pull up overnight. Sometimes he wakes up dry and sometimes not. Not ready to tackle night time training yet since he generally sleeps really well.

No advice. We continue to use real overnight diapers. Oh wait....we haven't started Potty training yet...I think labor day weekend may be our boot camp.
I think my bestfriend's water broke. She will be 30 weeks tomorrow. This was her text to me:
"Well, this is my third day at home sick. I have a dr. Appt today. Went poop earlier and peed. Stood up from that to wash my face and had several different gushes of clear fluid. Enough that it completely wet me, my shorts, and my shirt half way up my belly. I took pants off and looked...no blood just clear and some white. Smelled and no smell. Was ringing them off in the tub bent over and more came out on the floor. Whipped it up with toilet paper and it was clear. I have a checkup later today so maybe I will just bring it up then."
Ugh!!!
Also, I have my Urogynecology appt today to see about my incontinence. Although it's been better, I'm still going! It's still not great!

Made an epic car trip yesterday. Thanks babycaps for your tip - we gave his balls a little more space in the car seat and he seemed significantly more comfortable. Oops. I also stole one of your ideas, can't remember who, and dangle nursed over the car seat. Scratch that. I became a human pacifier over the car seat. If this proves to be more than just a phase I might consider a car paci. Hmmm

My Sister is super against pacifiers. But for the car, she had to! It was a game changer! Glad you fixed his balls;)
So happy to hear that many are getting better sleep. It really is crazy how they turn a corner at 12 weeks.
We also are not potty training. He might be getting close to ready but I dread it since I already tried it once and failed. At nigh DS1 pees A lot so he wears a nighttime diaper, diaper liner and plastic underpants over that. Many times he still manages to get his jamma bottoms wet.
I really feel like G had turned that corner, not necessarily for sleep, but everything seems a lot easier, he will play on his activity mat for longer and go longer between feedings so I can actually get things done.
DH is really anti pacifier because he's worried about future thumb sucking and teeth issues, DS1 never took one, and G wouldn't take any of the kinds I tried. G is always trying to chew on his hands and I told DH I prefer he take a paci rather than sucking his thumb because you can at least take a paci away. My sister gave me a Nuk gummy paci and he started taking it a couple of weeks ago. We don't use it often but it's nice when we are in situations where I can't nurse, like in the car. Sometimes he spits it out after a minute but it still calms him down. This could be a part of why life seems easier lately!
If I wasn't taking additional PTO, today would have been my first day back at work. I'm so not ready yet and I really think it sucks that FMLA is only 12 weeks - G isn't technically 3 months old for another week.
We're still at the lake. 2 wake ups overnight and then Ds1 whose grow clock goes off at 7 am was found reading books in the living room at 8am. When we woke up at 8 I nearly had a heart attack thinking he was dead or kidnapped. And there he was just sitting there quietly reading.

gahorseygal I'm glad your drop off went so well and you have a sit down with your boss. Praying for good news for you! babycaps I will keep your friend in my prayers too! And good luck at your appointment as well! Let us know how it goes
My day has been interesting to say the least. Successfully ran a couple of errand with the kids. Got home and let the dog out and he puked up 3 piles all over my carpet in the new house 😔 I swear this stuff only happens when my hubby is gone! But the silver lining is my mom is watching the kids this evening while I go get a mani/pedi for the wedding I'm in this weekend.

I think it's relative - I was going to go back at 6 weeks but I think it's going to end up being about 9 weeks of leave. I wasn't ready at 6 weeks but I'm ready now!
I'm in nap jail and so hungry. But she hasn't been napping well the last few days, so I don't want to risk moving her since she actually sleeping soundly.
But so hungry! I have a pack of pork dumplings calling my name.
We're not actively potting training, but J is taking some initiative so we're going with it. (We're planning for a Labor Day bootcamp too babycaps.) I couldn't find overnight underwear in his size - it seems to be made for larger kids who wet the bed. I just went back to regular overnight diapers. We'll just have to help him out of them first thing in the morning.

Can he come have a talk with my kid?!?
This has never happened before. And likely never will again!
