DH's work schedule is ridiculous this week so we are sleeping in different rooms for a few nights. I think him physically not being next to me helps me not want to murder him during the motn feedings. And I don't have to listen to him snore. Though my child is like the world's loudest sleeper ...
I'm going to decrease my pumping sessions to every 3 hours permanently. Yesterday I pumped just over 50 oz and Owen took 25 oz. My boobs are killing me and I'd really like to not be tied to the pump like I am. I figure my supply is somewhat established, last time I checked I pumped about 45 oz so it hadn't changed much.
I think I need to get out and buy a humidifier today...Owen is so congested last night we barely got sleep!
I'll be napping today and waiting for the roads to be les icy so we can get out.

LO has turned into the noisiest eater. Not just gulps and sucks, but little moans and audible sighs. I think it's precious, and I appreciate the enthusiasm at 4:00am.
FI woke up with a lot of pain in his arm so he took one of his remaining pain pills from when he was given them a few months ago. He slept right through baby crying for a bottle and diaper change. Thanks, dude. I was hoping to have you get up with Mr FPP for once when he got up for the day
You know, I'm curious as to how many people I will confuse if I get rid of the sailor moon picture since that's been my profile picture since about this time last year.
L slept horribly at night yesterday and tonight he's back to sleeping through the night! Woooo! I just woke him up because I needed to get rid of my hard boobs.
They are good! I added brewers yeast since I'm breastfeeding (already has oats and flax seeds) they were way easier than lactation cookies because they are no bake. Not low calorie though, but healthier to grab one of those than the chocolate I've been reaching for. And I didn't have dried cranberries and sunflower seeds on hand so I just used some fruit and nut blend trail mix I already had. You can tweak it to your liking.

My mom is coming today to stay with us for about a week. Yay! However, she made some comments that make me not want to really ever use leave LO until he is older. Like, she could give our baby plain water and start giving cereal at 6 weeks. She has MS with some cognitive difficulties and it's been a long time since she's been around babies. But, damn! I just don't know what she thinks is ok. I don't want to offend my mom, but the health and safety of my newborn is more important. It just makes me sad. Plus, she trips frequently and can't carry him (which she knows).

I'm dreading today. DS2 has a much needed appointment with the audiologist that is only in the area once a month. It's freezing rain outside. And the clinic is 30 miles away. I can NOT win.
luciddreamer, I KWYM about your mom. My mom has watched DS1 every Friday (he's 26 months), and I gave her very detailed instructions. She thought they were overkill ("You do know I raised 3 children, right?"), but I thought it was important for her to have a reference.
She also took some photos and sent them to me throughout the day, and there were a few that horrified me - improper seatbelt straps, buying a used, dirty Baby Bjorn carrier and putting him in it, etc. Obviously my child's safety comes first, and I have to balance that with not hurting my mom's feelings and still being grateful for her help.

Ugh I'm debating telling H to go back to our room at night. I hate sleeping alone, but it really doesn't help to have him laying there half awake (I do the night feedings during the week b/c of his schedule). Maybe I'll be too tired to care and get used to it quickly?
@nursesouder - Wow 50 oz?!? I am so impressed. I only lasted about 3 days while EPing. It's harder than I expected. Plus my nipples were turning white and black from pumping so much.
Anyone interested in a health and fitness check in? I know there was one during pregnancy (which I admittedly didn't participate in), but I think it would be helpful to keep us all on track.
So H slept from 9:30pm-3:30am, but didn't go back to sleep until 6 but he is still sleeping now (9:45am here). This after not sleeping at all during the day yesterday!
I think I have the noisiest baby in the world! He grunts and groans and makes this little alien noise which is cute but currently keeping me from napping . He also makes tons of noise when he eats and tends to do a lot of angry nursing. I don't remember my daughter being quite so loud!
Pretty sure we have been dealing with the 6 week growth spurt the last 36 hours at just 5 weeks and a few days old.... This mom's boobs hurt and is super exhausted!

I can relate. My mom talks about pretty crazy things regarding newborns. Finally her mom was like, "Angie, she was 3 months old before you did that with her". My mom has severe back problems that won't let her carry him either. She talks about wanting to babysit for us all the time but I just know it can only be when my dad is there. It is hard to not hurt their feeling
For those that haven't seen the announcement or are on mobile, if you reach 30,000 posts, your status becomes "god." On top of that, the image for it is Morgan Freeman.
New goal in life: become Morgan Freeman (I kid, kinda...)

I haven't been sleeping well lately. I stay awake after motn feeding worrying about daycare for lo. I go back to work in couple weeks. I wish I could be a sahm.
And the lack of sleep is getting to me. I went thru dd drive thru this morning. Ordered my coffee and a bavarian cream donut. About to pay and only get charged a coffee. So I ask for my donut trying not to be bitchy. Then she charges me for only the donut. Now I do get bitchy and correct her. She hands me the coffee, charges me and returns my credit card. And I drive off. Without my donut. Wth. I realized when I got home and now too embarrassed to go back for it. Sigh. I really wanted that donut.

And.. The award for the worst mother of the year goes to... Me. wah.wah.wah.
I dropped dd2's boot on S' face when I was getting her undressed for her tumbling class. S was in his car seat. He never saw it coming. Poor boy cried a little and stopped as soon as I lifted it off of him. Ugh.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
I'm in a great mood today. After a couple nights of baby not sleeping we bought a rock and play. Amazing. He actually slept between the nighttime feedings. I just hope it's not a horrible habit to break.
We also had our post-discharge pediatrician visit and he's already back to birth weight. I'm so proud of my little piggy.
