I'm so tired.  Late night working on cake and cupcakes.  I'll try to post pics - I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!  Looking forward to girls' night tonight, and DH has plans to go out tomorrow night...which means I can watch GoT alone!

H is home today and installing the closet system in dd's new room. After that we only have paint 2 big walls to paint next week (should be easy to roll them put in an hour the edging is mostly done and they're are no doors etc) and a curtain rod to hang. Then we just wait to have all the guest visits done and we can pull together her room and move her in. Yay. H keeps talking about how we are so far ahead from where we were before DD was born. Yes but we have to move DD and I want that done and her settled WELL before baby brother gets here.

DD will still be in a crib! She isn't trying to get out yet and no way do I want to deal with a roaming toddler AND a newborn Thankfully a friend has one we can borrow so that will go in DD's new room.

My terrible sunburn from Monday started peeling today. So gross. I'm going to pick up a salt or sugar scrub to exfoliate and get rid of it faster.

Got my eyebrows done at a benefit brow bar yesterday. They look so good.

Hung out with my parents this morning, now cleaning house because my BFF and her family are coming over tomorrow. Her daughter is 8 months (5 months adjusted) and she's rolling but not quite crawling.

I keep forgetting I have a bachelorette party to go to tonight. Oops.

For some reason DD has decided to only take a 45-60min nap this week instead of 2+hrs. Today was no different except she woke up crying. She never wakes up crying and will generally play in there for as long as I leave her (and I umm have tested that). Poor girl I don't know what it was that got her upset, but H was about to leave on a run and so she went with him. Hopefully the run at least let's her just rest for a bit longer.

My doc asked yesterday if dd2 was climbing out of crib...I'm like heck no. She's staying as long as poss.

I haven't been sleeping well because I have terribly painful sunburn (I got earlier this week) on my upper back. I get this pulling feeling whenever I move even though I've been putting aloe on every chance I get. And this morning I woke up with a headache at 6:30 when N got up. Luckily she sat in bed and watched blues clues for about an hour while I could rest and let the ibuprofen kick in. Otherwise just doing laundry and house work today. We have friends coming over tomorrow for the weekend! I spend $200 on groceries this morning including beer and sangria. Can't wait to see them though!

Looking forward to watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics tonight. I told N all about the olympics in hopes that she'll be interested in the swimming competitions bc she loves her swim class. It's so amazing that I can have adult-like convos with my 3.5 year old. So much fun. And now LO is getting a little personality with opinions and likes/dislikes! Love it!

Had fun at the bachelorette party! It was super tame. Got home at 1.

DH is off to play disc golf with friends. I need to finish cleaning house and get to the farmers market. It's the second to last week of fall market, and we'll be at the beach next Saturday.

I'm stuck at work while my family goes swimming at my nephew's birthday party today. I hate being an adult sometimes.

Last night we went out for a walk and got stuck at the park waiting for a downpour to let up. We haven't had rain like in a while so it was nice to have. We missed the opening ceremony of the Olympics though.

Told my boss I was pregnant last week and we have a meeting to discuss our winter plans tomorrow. Things did not really go well on my maternity leave last time so hopefully we can figure out a better plan.

We took DD to the pool this morning and she had an absolute blast and it felt fantastic to me too. Wore all 3 of us out!

Now I am on the couch relaxing and watching handball? I think? This is a strange game.

My childhood BFF, her husband, and kid came over since they're in town for the wedding this afternoon. I hadn't seen her since January, which means I hadn't seen her daughter since she got out of the NICU. We had an awesome visit and I got awake baby play time and sleepy baby snuggles

Now DH and DS are napping, and I'm relaxing. Gotta get all fancy for the wedding soon!

Busy weekend here. My grandmas assisted living home had a picnic yesterday so that was lots of fun. They have a Johnny cash band perform and DD loves to dance so she obviously had a blast. Today we're just headed to the flea market this morning then probably out to lunch and home to nap. Then dinner at my in laws. We have dinner with them every Sunday but this is the first one with C's new baby cousin so I'm super excited.

We took DD out to a farm yesterday and she got to feed carrots to the goats and donkeys, of course I didn't think to take any pictures. Today we did the grocery store and now I'm working on laundry, but overall a pretty quiet day.

I just put together a little new nursing mom care package for my friend who had her baby a few weeks ago, her LO is still in the nicu and she's been pumping but she didn't have a hands free pumping bra so I got her one of those and a couple nursing tanks, some lanolin. Glad I was able to find something helpful to do for her even though we don't live close enough to visit or bring food, etc. Anyone have any other suggestions for things that are helpful for a mom with a baby in the nicu?
