H is in bed with a 101 temp and the chills. I'm trying to get A down so I can crash...because now I feel sick but I'm pretty sure I'm just paranoid. Ugh.
And the question is sleep next to H or on a couch where I won't sleep well.

Work was so busy, but I got to cut an hour off to reduce overtime. So I got to pick M up sms have more time with him. He's getting so much better at standing up. He also climbed onto the couch and immediately started farting in him and my faces. Thanks for that kid
Baby girl took her first steps tonight! I'm so glad DH and I were both here to see it at the same time. It's a big week for her. Her birthday is on Friday.

You will ever guess what I did today. My mom has been here visiting and we took the boys to the splash pad. I ran into someone i knew from other events we've gone to in the community. Her oldest and DS1 are the same age.bothboys. They always play together when we run into each other. I finally had enough guts to get get number. Yay mom friends!
Tomorrow morning I start PT on a knee issue I've had awhile. Looking forward to it getting better so I can run again.
So the last few days (since getting the ear infection), J wants nothing to do with the sippy cups. I know he's feeling better so he should be fine with the sippy cups. DNW him to revert back to all bottles!
Catching up, but if it were me, I would keep offering the cups. He'll take it eventually.
@betweenthelines, I saw you tagged me and was hoping you YH didn't want to go to Mexico so you were telling me I could go. My mom has him today so I am telling her to not cave on the cups!
LOL. I sold him on the trip pretty quickly.
But yeah, if he's been on cups without any bottles, then definitely don't go back to bottles. It'll mess him up. Especially at this age, he'll probably realize he will actually have a "say".
I read the Paris Wife on vacation over the weekend after seeing it mentioned a few times on the book thread. It was so good! It makes me want to go back and re-read The Sun Also Rises (haven't read since high school) and some other Hemingway stuff.
I tried so hard to like Hemingway. I've read a bunch of his books as an adult (only read The a old Man and the Sea in school) because they're always on 100 best books ever lists. I've hated them all, based solely on his writing style. I'd be interested to hear how you like them if you read them.

O.M.G. Littlest Bones was a disaster last night. I was up with him for an hour and a half and then another hour. DH was up with him for an hour between that.
IT is here with my new computer. It's newer (looks new but I'm trying to not make assumptions) than my crappy one and is a Dell, not HP. I'm cautiously optimistic.
M woke up at 4:30, thankfully H was up and got him. I'm baffled though that he can't get M to eat some things or to go back to sleep sometimes. Like this morning he said M would not touch the cottage cheese. So I sit down and do what I do every time, give him the first spoon full which he spits out, scoop it up and give it back to him. He eats it from there. And yes he keeps pulling to standing in his crib so you have to lay him back down a few times. He is tired though and will eventually fall asleep.

I can't remember if I liked him or not. But knowing the background of the book and that it's based on actual events makes me intrigued. Apparently there's a book from his perspective of his time with his first wife, so I thought that might be interesting too, to see his side.

ampaints, I haven't done any sleep training. I'm wondering if he's teething. It's been going on for a few days. After I give him Advil, he goes back down but that's usually after a couple of hours. I'm not sure if at that point he feels better or just exhausted.
skinandbones teething is the worst. It can eat a bag of dicks.
So standing up in the crib is really fucking with sleep in our house. Dude will be tired as fuck, but keeps standing up. Someone please tell me this stops. I don't want to have to put him down 3-6 times a night. I've tried just leaving him, but he gets worked up more because he's still figuring out getting down.

@janetheconquerer, noooooo! Don't get sick!
Hooray for new technology, joi922. It has to be better than your old set-up, right?
Time to yourself sounds amazing gingerygirl. Enjoy it!
Teething here too, skinandbones. Poppy was up for hours and inconsolable last night, which is not typical for her. This morning I saw one of her top teeth poking through, and it looks like the one next to it is coming as well, so I know I am in for another night of this. I'm going to try alternating Advil and Tylenol tonight. (I was doing just Advil.)

Aaaaaargh... just got a cryptic call from our HR department that seems to indicate that t's likely I'll have to replace one of our fall faculty for a critical theory class. Classes start September 6th. What's a semester without some last minute scrambling, right?
