michelle142 i applaude you for having a plan for when 2 comes. My only plan is that my mom is coming to help and he's still going to daycare for his half days. I think it's gonna be a creation shot right off the bat.
My spam. DS woke up again last night And got up and turned his light on... at 330am. We've been dealing with This for a week now. Sucks that this had to start now... Especially When i know our sleep is going to be messed up soon. And then it takes me and hour or more to fall asleep again. boo. Oh and. I'm at work. That is all.
mrsclark731, HAHAHA that picture is great! I just sent it to my best friend who is due in 3 weeks. I hope she gets a laugh out of it! I know she is feeling miserable!

I ended up having an NST done yesterday after my Dr. appointment. I nearly fell asleep in the nice, dark, quiet room with the comfy recliner. I don't think there's a reason for another NST, but I'd gladly do it just for the quiet time.

My plan, at first, involves my Mom and MIL on days where I have both kids on my own. So my plan definitely involves help from others!
Does your DS just turn the light on and go back to sleep? Or does he turn it on and stay up?
We are at an entire glorious hands free hour with LO in the PNP!!! This is the first I've been able to get him to sleep on his own since day 2 in the hospital. I've already cleaned half the upstairs, had my coffee, updated the thank you list, and eaten. I'm debating if I want to push my luck and try to start putting away laundry.

Not much for spam here. Still hanging out and waiting for this kid to arrive. May be doing some minor plumbing and finishing up some water changes in the lab, but lazy and unmotivated.
Went to the gym last night and did all of the squats and skips. If running had been included in the workout, I'd have been all over it.

He turns it on and sits by the door. I'm pretty good at listening for him. So i don't leave him be for too long. My worry is that if i left him he would start playing and think it was morning. Just feeling a little stuck with whether to try and fix it now or not. I did order one of those toddler clocks with the light that comes on when it's ok to get up.

I need to spend more time back here and less on TB. If one more person asks how they can induce labor themselves, I'm going to scream!! I'm afraid to leave TB behind, because I don't want some idiot telling them that it's fine to take castor oil.

We actually JUST got one of those clocks. Last night was the first night using it. He's an early riser, so we were hoping it will get him to stay in bed a little longer. Night one worked well, he woke up 15 minutes before I had the green light set for, but he sat and waited until the light turned green before getting up.

I saw that too! Where the heck are these women coming from?

I have been lurking since LO was born because I haven't been able to be near my computer. He is finally sleeping in the bouncer (please let this last longer then 10 mins) instead of on my chest. Congrats to all those that have outside babies now and GL to all those going into inductions/labor soon. I was induced and it was not a terrible experience. I was in labor for 12 hours exactly and was able to get an epidural.
Spam for today is I really want to go out in public or get out of the house but WI winters are not so kind and to be honest I am somewhat nervous about taking LO out on my own. I am starting to go stir crazy but maybe I will find something to organize.
Anyone have any methods of lowering blood pressure? Even with meds mine is high; they highlight it every time at the doc's office, making me feel like a kid getting a bad grade. I really want to avoid induction or C-section. He said my swelling is minimal, and there's no protein in the urine, so it doesn't appear to be pre-e, just crazy hypertension. Any help?
In other news, we have a "winter break" coming up at school: off Friday and Monday, with an in-service day on Tuesday. It can't get here fast enough.

So the fancy baby monitor we've had on order for months (Sproutling) was supposed to ship in March. We figured a couple weeks without it would be OK. Well, now we got an email that after their beta testing, they're adding more features, which means they won't ship until late summer. They're offering refunds to anyone who wants one, but now I'm stuck on what to do. Does anyone have a monitor they'd recommend?

I had a whole 3 contractions and then nothing. I was so excited.
I'm going to yoga tonight to try to kick this kiddo out. All the other ladies due about the same time as me have had their babies. I'm willing to do an hour of squats and down dog if it'll get him out.

I'm wishing I had an outside baby to snuggle while I'm off work, but thankful she's safe and happy inside. I'm also glad that I'm not on actual bed rest, so at the very least I can get some stuff cleaned up around the house before she does finally make her appearance.
Thinking of making some cookies and checking out some new recipes this week, to help pass the time.

We ended up getting an AngelCare because we were more concerned with the baby not moving and the AngelCare monitors that. I wasn't as worried about video, but I think they have a model with that. We tested it and it definitely works if the movement stops, and the sound works so I think we'll keep it.

Thank you--I needed to see that today! If they induced using Pitocin, did you get an epidural done before or after they administered it?

I know you didn't ask me but I'm going to answer. They started the pitocin first and had to get my contractions "up there." Once they did, I immediately requested an epidural and got it about 15 minutes later. The anesthesiologist came and talked to me when they were first administering the pitocin though. My entire labor was 5 hours.

Makeup is on point, hair is straightened, legs are shaved... I think I'm ready! Now just gotta not go crazy in the next hour before I go in, think happy thoughts and accept the fact that I've failed in not letting myself get my hopes up for today. The wait for my MFM's answer is going to be one of the longest waits of my life!

This was me with my first and I got the epidural once they knew the pit was working but before contractions were too bad.

I actually didn't have Pitocin at all. I had something similar to cervadil and that was all I needed. I had some bleeding after that they used Pitocin to help stop but other than that none needed as far as the epidural goes I was able to receive that once I reached 4 cm.

Well, I'm having a baby tomorrow. I'm ready to meet her but I'm freaking out now. I went to my appointment this morning and my blood pressure was through the roof. The lowest it's gotten is 150/100. So I'm being kept over night. I'll get cervidil inserted at 6p.m and pitocin is started at 6 a.m. I'll be a mom tomorrow!! I can't decide if I want to cry or smile. Wish me luck!
