Uterine fibroids (removed by robotic myomectomy 11/14) and past removal of L ovary/tube d/t ovarian torsion (4/99). New diagnosis of endometriosis (5/15)
How many days can you keep breast milk in the fridge and still transfer it to the freezer? I've had some in the fridge since Friday and wondering if I could transfer it to the freezer (or if I should use it up).

This might be wrong but this is how I do it and have never had an issue... I have 2 different groups of storage- long term and short term. If I'm planning on storing it long term I make sure to freeze it right away. Short term I'll freeze as long as it's still good. Shore term= <2 months.

There's not much that can be done about cradle cap right?
I wrote my master thesis and this was the title, more or less: neonatal and infant skincare.
A lot of time and research went into it. Leave cradle cap alone. Don't use shampoos that have alcohol. Don't use lotions in it. Oil can make it worse! It doesn't hurt babies. Wash hair 2-3x week and use a pH balancing shampoo for babies.

What about the Mustela cradle cap shampoo? I used it and it worked really well.

Works well to balance skin pH! it's one of my favorites, along with Sebamed Baby shampoo! funny enough, I have an e-mail waiting for me at work about being a "mustela hospital". Apparently they are now trying to target hospitals to use their products!

On the cradle cap topic, can babies have dandruff? Lo has a dry flakey scalp but not crusty like typical cradle cap. It's the worst the day after I wash it. I've been using Mustela shampoo and body wash and just recently their Stelatopia line for dry skin. But it always comes back which makes me think it's not actually cradle cap. I can't find their cradle cap shampoo where I live.

It's likely just skin cells that are falling off. it's totally normal, just annoying. It is indeed dandruff. Neonatal skin, especially scalp, cycles quickly! Can you order the shampoo on amazon? you can add a sparing teaspoon of coconut oil to your bath water to make it a little less drying.
Back to add: Cradle cap: The seborrheic glands are still learning how to deal with the outside world. Putting oil on them directly makes it worse. That's why using a shampoo like the mustela is good. There IS oil in there, but it's controlled in amount to help the scalp regulate!
If you have hard water at home, the coconut oil will help, but do use sparingly as stated above!
ellesea, more affordable option: Sebamed Baby Shampoo.

A friend sent me a quote she had copy and pasted from an article that claims that babies after 3 months of age don't gain as many ounces per week. Is this true? I'm just curious haha

Does anyone have a light-up toy that their baby loves? We have a good amount of toys, but virtually none of them light up! Not that it's a necessity, but I think DS would love seeing lights.

] DS loves this! It slowly alternates colors as it gets moved.
I paid full price it looks like it's on sale. I'm tempted to get a second...
He can't actually rattle it himself yet but he knocks it around and sometimes I rattle it for him.
