No frosting? No coffee? Don't you people have vices?!
More coffee and frosting for me!!! Mwahahaha!
I drink 3-4 cups of coffee a day. I cut down to 2. And had to give up wine! I deserve a friggen gold medal.
There's my kindred spirit! I'm determined to stick with one cup a day this pregnancy. My son is crazy, and I blame it on the extra cup of coffee a day I drank during his pregnancy. Kidding. A little.

All this. I dream of my first cup of coffee as soon as my alarm goes off. It gets me out of bed.

Yup to all of this. Coffee is my soul sister. I cut back with dd, sort of, and will a little this time too. But I'm not anywhere close to a sociable person without.
And agreed, giving up wine is enough for one woman!!
Another beverage UO from me: I don't like wine or beer. I'm a Smirnoff Ice (flame away, lol) or mixed drink kind of girl. But I don't really like drinking since my hangovers seemed to have gotten worse as I got older.

Just reading "Smirnoff Ice" makes me gag a little. High school me drank way too many of those...

risalyn0904 I fucking love my Julia!! It took me a while before I bought one because I didn't know which size but sympkin I got an amazing one from the 4th of July release
I love LLR. I don't have the confidence to rock my patterned leggings out of the house, but that will change. I love the maxis and Cassie's. But I think I want a Julia bc with boots a cardi and a bump it will be adorable.
I love the Julia!! I'm not sure if I'll get an actual bump because I'm not skinny but I hope to rock the Julia a lot!

Lol I started with Mike's Hard Lemonade in HS and "graduated" to Smirnoff Ice but never moved on from there. 😄

UO: I think it's outrageous that pregnant women tell their SOs that they cannot drink. They are not the ones that are pregnant. Let them enjoy their drinks.

That's a thing that people do?!
I am a little bummed that I just got H a 3-month subscription to beer of the month club and I won't get to try any.

Yeah a girl at work just asked me if I was going to make H stop drinking. I'm like...why would I punish him for giving me the gift of this beautiful life inside me.

Agree. It makes 0 sense to me. Also, my husband needs to drink in order to cope with my pregnancy moods! 😂

mustloveerica, I totally agree on the husband drinking thing. My poor H deserves a drink when I'm pregnant after dealing with my crazy self.
I do know some guys who have taken it too far in the other direction- purposely getting wasted a lot because they have a built-in sober cab. If my H was like that, I'd ask him not to drink, too.
Heck, if my H was like that, he might not be my H anymore...

jennykat Absolutely, I can live without bread, pasta and Olive Garden (hork). As a kid, I never ate bread or pasta when mom made it. As an adult and Italian by marriage, I'll eat them. I love a good cake (with frosting) but would rather have ice cream every day of the year.

This friendship could prove a win-win: you drink all the coffee and I eat all the bread?
Give me all the cake, frosting, cheese, bread, pasta, potatoes, sour candies......awe shit, just give me all the food.
And I'll wash it down with all the coffee, beer, and wine.
And yes. My H can drink while I'm pregnant. Although last night he opened a cider I bought the night before I got my bfp. My favorite ciders, that I haven't had in forever. Then, he poured half down the sink. That made me question how our marriage was going to survive this pregnancy.
jennykat , most US cheeses are pasteurized. Check the labels! Mmmmmm cheese.
I'm just going to +1 this because stupid pregnancy food rules is pretty much my top pet peeve.
It's literally illegal to sell unpasteurized soft cheeses. So unless you're eating cheese smuggled in your friend's suitcase from Europe you are probably good. And listeria can grow on anything, it makes no sense to drop entire food groups because of it.

100% agree on the stupid pregnancy rules. I will say that if you're a farmer's market kinda person, there are often unpasteurized cheeses there. Not sure if it's a loophole or if they are breaking the law, but that's one place to be careful.

I believe the regulations on selling unpasteurized milk and cheeses vary by state. You can certainly buy both at retail stores and directly from farms in my state (but not in restaurants). Not to say that anyone should give up all soft cheeses because unpasteurized cheeses are pretty clearly labeled and easy enough to avoid, just that it is not illegal everywhere in the country.
Unpasteurized cheeses can be sold but they have have to be aged at least 60 days. Which automatically means no Brie, Camembert etc. Cheeses that may be sold unpasteurized are actually medium or hard cheeses like cheddar or parmesan reggiano.
If someone is selling unpasteurized brie it's in contravention of federal FDA laws.

That's interesting and good to know. What about raw milk? I know that several stores around here sell raw milk from local farms and I recall reading that was legal (there was a bill introduced in my state trying to loosen some of the regulations so I've read a few articles about it recently).

I don't drink it but now I'm just curious.
Weirdly raw milk laws are state by state. Although you can't sell it across state lines anywhere.
