Jail= baby gate on door to boys room (all their toys are in there) in the single level house- sometimes they dont go for it but most days it works. The rest of the house is not baby proofed so its the only thing that works. We also live out in the middle of nowhere so going out daily is not an option. My oldest usually skips lunch and we do snacks as needed- I do chores throughout the day as I remember.
I sat down last night (glass of wine in hand) and wrote down a schedule for what I want to try to get accomplished with my daughter during the day. I made a time for art, snack, outside time, lunch, nap, playtime, storytime, music/movement, etc. (not in this order)...I also wrote down a tentative cleaning schedule for each day. I am so brand new to being a SAHM and I just had my tubes tied Tuesday so we haven't put any of this into practice yet. I have been cleaning as I go about the day in between breastfeeding and nap times. I really want my daughter to have some planned activities b/c when she gets bored she gets into mischief big time! I really hope to stick to my schedule as much as my two month old will allow it.
