Converting to weekly thread? TWW AND WTO-vote now

I like the weekly threads. You can still continue a conversation over the course of several days, but typically the info doesn't change much from day to day.

I would be more inclined to post in a weekly thread. I don't always have something new to say each day, other than changing some numbers. And I hate posting in the WTO/TWW threads one day and then not another day. Plus I think it'll work well with our current poster numbers.

I like the daily threads tbh but nobody posts on them anymore which I find odd. How would we do it as a weekly thread anyway?

My thoughts:
1. I would start them every day, but I don't because I hate coming up with a GTKY question. Lol
2. These days, I often don't post in the thread every single day (especially WTO) because it just reminds me that I'm waiting. And it makes the time slow down counting day by day.
3. Our numbers on this board seem to be dwindling and I'm starting to be able to remember what CD everyone is on since only like 5 people post. And I think that's weird.
4. So yes, I would be fine with a weekly thread.
5. CAL does a "What's up Wednesday" thread where you just give all of your TTC updates on that thread and it's not necessarily in a specific format. I like that too.

I'm good with changing it to a weekly thread. I'm horrible at finding GTKY questions which is my main reason for not starting most of them. I may have resorted to google a few times

I voted for WTO only, because I love the daily updates of TWW as people get closer to the end of their LPs.

Which really just means that I am fine with a weekly thread, but I hope people check-in more than just on Monday.

I don't hate the idea of combining the two threads. My only reservation is that, personally, some days I want to stay out of TWW in case there is a BFP, and WTO is a safe place. But I know that is coming from a place of IF and loss, and that is not what GKU is supposed to be about.

ironbaby, I agree that sometimes I can't handle reading TWW. I think other posters may feel that way too even if they don't have IF issues.

I can see the arguments for weekly threads and would be fine with giving them a try, but I very much would like to keep them separate. DNW to see a BFP post right below my post about CD1 (and I've felt that way since way before IF status attached to me).

People can definitely check in more than once in the weekly thread. For example in the IF weekly check in some weeks I post once and other weeks I post 4 or 5 times depending on what I have going on related to IF.

With weekly threads, if you move from WTO to TWW mid-week, would you then post in the weekly TWW thread once you O or wait until the next week comes out? What's the general consensus on that?

I agree. Sometimes I see that there was a lot of activity in the TWW thread and know that likely means someone had a BFP and I just can't deal with seeing it that day so I stay away. The combined WTO/TWW thread is new for us on TTC>35 (we only had a weekly TWW thread before) but it works because our numbers there are so small and it gets some more conversation going. And sadly, the BFPs are few and far between for us as a group there so we don't see it often.

I would think you can post wherever you want, whenever you want just like that is in any thread.

I definitely also think that WTO and TWW should stay separate. The conversations in those two parts of your cycle are totally different and it makes sense to have two different threads IMO.

Sounds good to me, then! I'd rather have a weekly thread that I can stalk every day than a daily thread that's sometimes missing. I wouldn't be shy about being the first to post in a weekly thread on any given day, but don't feel like enough of a regular to post the daily thread.
