I'm glad you have an end date, EllieT! I felt the same way about making it to my induction, it was just easier for me too.
I still need to get the house ready for DD's birthday party tomorrow and make it to the grocery store. I have so much to do. Luckily my mom is a huge help and she is picking up the cake and balloons and helping me decorate tonight.
I know I will have fun at her party, I just hate all the work leading up to it!

I am impressed you are doing a party. We decided not to for DD2's Sept. 1 birthday.

Thank you all who suggested I talk to the pediatrician. DS definitely has acid reflux and was given zantac prescription. I don't know if it actually worked quickly last night or just a gift from the universe but he slept in 3.5 he stretches which has never happened. So that was awesome.
And at his appointment he weighed over 10 lbs...so he's up 25% in 4 weeks. I feel so great that breastfeeding is going well for us. Hope everyone has a good Friday !

It's for DD1's 4th birthday and she loves birthday parties, I don't think she would have let me skip it. I do wish I was just doing our parents & siblings and not extended family and friends too. Oh well, too late now.
spicysalmonroll glad you got some medicine for your son and it is working!
We coslept last night due to DD not being able to settle down. Worst night of sleep ever. She has so much gas. The more she nurses the worse her tummy is. But I hate to give up nursing because she need whatever I can give her protection wise. Can't someone make fake antibodies to put in formula pls

Good morning ladies!!
Had another doctor's appt this morning and I've actually made some progress (yay!). Baby girl has dropped pretty low and I'm 80% effaced and 1cm dilated (I know it's only 1, but I was very excited to actually be dilated!). I'm hoping she decides to come on her own, but if not, I'm scheduled for an induction next Tuesday at 7:30am (EllieT induction day twins!).
Today is my last day of work and I'm so freaking excited to be off until some time in November. Emailing my HR person now to figure out dates. Woot!

Did anyone get any spotting after their cervix checks? I've been checked like 4 times now and have never had it. Well today I have brown spotting when I wipe. I called an left a message with my nurses line and I'm waiting for a call back.

Story of my DD2's life. She did so much better on my work days when she got a bottle. We clipped her ties at 4 mo. and the issue disappeared at 5 mo. Those 5 months were so, so hard. All the sympathy. I had a friend with the same issues who switched to formula and said it was near instant improvement.
It seems like little miss Olivia's witching "hour" is from 4 to 7 in the morning. It makes me so tired, and she wakes her sister up early. Boo hoo.
Oh man, been there and all my sympathy. Hope it passes/changes soon! Also hope your big learns to sleep through. We still use white noise for our bigs and it helps them stay asleep through the newborn crying. Not sure if you already do that.

That's pretty common
Yeah, that's what they just told me. They're not concerned since it's brown, but said to call for any red flow. Just had a minor freak-out since I hadn't had it happen at all before!

I think the problem is our tiny house combined with her piercing screams! Haha

I even had some reddish bleeding after one check but it wasn't like....gushing.
Thanks to the evil YouTube, DS1 has started loudly narrating while he plays his tablet games. He started doing that at 5 a.m. Meanwhile, DS2 had a completely random sobbing fit about a toy he was given as a gift 2 weeks ago (he got Chewbacca but he really wanted Anakin). Then DD was gassy and just sort of fussy. I am sleepy.

Yup, basically said red and a lot should be only cause for concern.

Guys I'm all worried. I shifted the baby while he was sleeping and his head flopped backwards really fast. He bobbed back up again and didn't even wake up. I'm *this* close to bursting into tears and calling the pediatrician.

I had full bleeding after my first cervix check. Don't worry! It stopped in about a day or two.
I had none after my second check. Hmmph. I was hoping to piss off my cervix.

Glad to hear that lots of other people have had this. Nurse probably thought I was a crazy person for being so concerned! I'm hoping the check did annoy my cervix some and it's working on dilating more!

Good morning!
We had a rough night with DS. The timeline is fuzzy in my memory because that's how sleep-deprived I was, but it seemed like no many how much he nursed, and how many dirty diapers we changed, he just would not. settle. down. If we put him down in the crib while still awake, there's no chance of him falling asleep, but when DH or I hold and rocks him, he would just get super alert and eventually want to nurse again. At 3:30am I was holding him and standing next to the crib, sobbing "I'm just so tired". DH demanded I give him the baby, close the bedroom door, and go to sleep. I felt like such a failure but I did it, even telling DH to go ahead and give him some formula if he needed to, because I just needed to go to sleep.
DH cuddled him for a while in the living room, swaddled him, and put him in the RnP. Eventually DH fell asleep on the couch. DS slept from about 4:00-7:30, when I came in and saw him fussing a little, so I got him and fed him. He ate for 45 min and now has been asleep (in his crib!!) for about 2 hours. I'm going to let him sleep as long as he wants to now!
Everything else is going so well, I'm just having a hell of a time adjusting to the lack of sleep. I just wish I could fall asleep the minute he does (as DH seems able to do), but instead I lie awake for at least an hour, despite being exhausted. Might need to prescribe myself a glass of wine with the first MOTN feeding...

Nah! Blood during pregnancy is always a little alarming. Don't worry!!
I just assumed it was from the cervical check. If it hadn't stopped or gotten worse, then I would've definitely called, too!

Talk me down or tell me to call.
Babies are floppy noodles. He's most likely fine. Try waking him up or doing something you normally do to annoy him and see if his responses are normal. If they aren't, call.
But if it would make you feel better, mentally, to call? Then call. Maybe you'll come off as one of those crazy mom stories, but if you feel better, baby will feel better. :) *squeeze*
