Part of me wonders if I should tell the doctor about nights like this since they happen fairly regularly now. But I don't know that there is much that could be done. I'm not really big on taking meds but even so I don't know that I could while breastfeeding anyway...
teraiin - YES! And other nights like tonight, I'm mentally willing her to sleep and she's tossing and turning every 5 seconds. I'm tired and want to pass out (but afraid I'll just be woken up the minute I fall deeply asleep.

Pretty good weekend. Yesterday was our 5 year wedding anniversary. We went to the in-laws, left L with them and had a date night dinner out. I had a yummy burger and dirty martini!
The bad/annoying: L hadn't pooped in a couple days and seemed to be making up for it this weekend while we were away from home. Blow out in the car (still need to thoroughly clean her car seat). And 2 other blow outs requiring an outfit change. I think part of the issue is that she's about to outgrow size 1 diapers (& I've been determined to use them up, maybe not smart on my part).
Another annoyance: Love my MIL, she's great with L. But she definitely has an annoying tendency to insert herself and offer advice. She gave L a couple 3 oz breast milk bottles while we were gone (less than 3 hrs). When I commented that it seemed like more than I would have expected she'd need, she said "There are recipes online for smoothies to make your milk more rich and fatty. I think you should try it so your milk will be more filling for her. Your milk is probably too thin/watery and so it doesn't fill her up." Yeah, no. She seems just fine after I nurse her and when DH has given her bottles. Thanks for the advice though (*eye roll*)

In my sleepy haze, it took me a bit to realize that she meant smoothies for you, not smoothies to give to the baby. I thought your MIL was perhaps not qualified to stay with an infant if she thought smoothies were a good idea! π

I think people who are used to looking at formula tend to think BM is watery ( just basing this on your comment and a few I've heard myself) and how does MIL know about these smoothies? Is she googling about BM or talking with her friends about it? Lol
