Ugh can I complain for a second...due to the yeast infection, I have to sterilize the pump parts after EVERY use. Thank goodness my husband has been taking on this task this weekend because it sucks!
Saw that my insurance claims are at $45K so far for the year, haha, this is before the NICU stay and OHS...our insurance company may hate us, but it's not like we have a great plan anyways.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Today DD is going to my ILs for the week so we don't have to worry about her when I go into labor. It makes me sad that this weekend is probably the last time we have as a family of 3. We went to the aquarium on Friday and a water park yesterday. Today is a park and relax day before we drive to drop her off with my MIL. I'm happy she'll have somewhere to be and she will have so much fun with Nana and Papa but I'm going to miss her. joy You've been quiet this weekend. Hope everything is ok or maybe you've had a baby!!
I just had to wake H because he was sound asleep with DD on his chest. He denied he was asleep. Dude, I heard you snoring on the monitor. This is not the first time this has happened. I wish he would recognize when he's getting too tired.
New rule of thumb: If I have to wake you up versus you waking up when I walk in the room, you're too asleep to be holding the baby.

It's DD1's 6th birthday today (what?!?!), and all she wanted to do was put on her fanciest dress and dig for dinosaur bones at our local science center. She's pretty much the coolest person I know
O has a rash that looks like diaper rash in her armpit. I think its just from moisture and she clamps her arms down a lot of the time. It's just so red and she screams when I clean it. Poor baby.

In one last desperate home induction measure I made the egg plant parmesan recipe. It was very yummy, but probably pointless. I'm thinking little miss will make me wait until Tuesday for induction.

You using the microwave bags..it makes it a little easier and quicker.

Thanks! I ordered them last week and am impatiently awaiting their arrival! Right now we're boiling everything.
You know what's not fun being almost 39 weeks pregnant..getting a cold. It hurts every time I cough..and that's before a c section, so it best clear up before my RCS!

I'm a tad worried about it. The ridge at the top doesn't go all the way around, like some of the skin covers it at the front. Is this normal? Does that make sense without being obnoxiously graphic? I'm worried he'll have to go back in

I think I know what you're talking about. By front, do you mean the underside? My boy has that. The pedi said it was perfect. However, I know some ppl do have adhesions and reattachments so I would definitely check in with the pedi. Better to find the solution now when it may just need a little tug, than later down the road.
I think I mean the overside. Like the ring doesn't go all the way around. It's there on the underside but looks covered on the overside.
bocaburger , glad to read you'rs doing better and the Zoloft is helping. joy . I can commiserate with you. I'm exactly 40 weeks today, aching all over and no real signs of labor. I was about to make lunch for tomorrow when I realized that I'm on maternity leave until December and not going to work tomorrow. Besides a massage I don't know what I'll do with myself since DD is in school and my friends are either working or caring for small children.
I know I'll have an outside baby soon but now I just skip over all the newborn-related posts. I hate to sound like a whiner and going full term sure beats having a preemie but I wish he would just fine since the last week or two of pregnancy are a real mind fvck.

Do you think the 6 week pp check is really necessary? I had a pretty boring uncomplicated birth, no tearing or stitching, and bleeding has cleared up. I don't need meds, and I'm not going to go on BC. I sort of feel like there's nothing for her to even check and I don't really want to make an appointment. What do you think?
annbuhdan, I would go in just for peace of mind as well as the, welp looks like you are good to go thumbs up from my doc. I would consider it a well visit like the once a year for kids kind of thing. Ultimately up to you, but its always nice to get a clean bill of health.
I am just wandering by tonight to throw out a "oh please oh please oh please let these cramps actually BE something tonight if my sleep is gonna get fucked anyway" plea to who/whatever may be listening. Sigh.
