I love LP.. on other people. I need to drop 60 lbs before attempting to wear my LP dresses. Someone got me a LP 3 month old romper but otherwise I've never had it for kids. We do so much smocked stuff since my BFF sells it.
Eta:
I'm taking the 2 bigs to their first swim lesson. They are scared, and my cold heart says I don't care because I'm more scared of you dying in an accident. I hope my hard ass motherly tendencies don't ruin my kids.
Took baby boy to the dr today. His temperature was a bit elevated and he spit up so much after his bottle. His temperature was normal at the office and the dr was not concerned. Bu i need to keep a eye on it for now. Hopefully it doesn't turn into anything. He also seems to be developing a bit of a flat spot. And i don't know how or why really. I guess i will have to pay a bit more attention as to his head position. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

One perk of being up all night - I managed to shop the Lilly Pulitzer online sale. I now have matching outfits for baby girl and I for next summer.
Yes, I know how silly I am.
A friend of mine posted an article that had a bunch of images that described the reality of breastfeeding. I screenshot this one because they know my life....

This was me and a friend's LuLaRoe launch last night. I've never worn LLR before.
gratefulgirl I absolutely love LLR leggings. started wearing them a few months into my pregnancy and now I'm hooked.
Their shirts aren't too bad, just super expensive and start to pill quickly. I loved the Julia dress when I was pregnant, haven't tried it on since I had the baby because I need to be able to whip a boob out at a moments notice lol

DD2 got into "natural" bug spray I haven't used in years all over herself and our bedroom carpet. She earned the most whirlwind bath of her life, DH is grouchy I wasn't supervising closer, and we are hoping baking soda can get the smell out. Sigh.

I bought a Wananub in the middle of the night because I was tired of all the binkys being stolen or lost. Well lets just say it didn't work because DD3 decided it was really cool to have stuffed animal with a binky so it constantly is being swiped.
I am for buying all the things in the middle of the night. It is the only time I can read reviews and such uninterrupted
I just discovered that the bald spot on the side of my son's head is actually a patch of blond hair. I'm happy its not a bald spot, but ashamed it took me 13 days to realize it lol.
I also yelled at my granny yesterday for mispronouncing his name. The woman isn't deaf. She kept asking his name and I told her. Then she asked me to spell it so I did. And she proceeded to butcher the pronunciation. It's 4 letters and 2 freakin syllables. Its not that hard.
After that incident I realized that people will ask his name and then say "oh well I'm gonna call him ____" No. You call my son either by his given name or "Mr. LastName." Those are the only two options. I have feels about this.
Yeah I have feels when people won't use their given name. But, my bigs will correct you if you say it wrong or call them a nickname. They don't play around with that. AND they will correct you if they call one of the smaller ones the wrong name. My job is done for me now

Ugh. The smell of the stuff DD2 spilled seems to be spreading and getting worse. It was basically essential oils, but by Burts Bees not a specialty place. Baking soda is not cutting it and DH is clearly trying very hard not to lose it at me.
Tips? My current plan of a crying fit will just make my make-up run before photos.
I bought 5 SwaddleMes at 4 AM while holding K because he had once more escaped the swaddle with his arms and woken himself up flailing said arms. We have 2 fleece swaddlemes from when J was a baby and I remember them working so hopefully...
Otherwise we just left the doctor and K got the all clear once more on his breathing. We're headed home for a lunch of turkey, provolone, and pesto on French bread.
If that doesn't work, Miracle Blanket, Woombie, or the real big guns of the Anna and Eve Swaddle Strap are good options.

We are going back to the pediatrician today. LO's cord stump fell off over a week ago and the belly button is still really gooey. The sides keep getting glued shut. Pediatrician mentioned they can help it dry up.

With dd3 they used a chemical cauterizing thing. The name escapes me right now. Maybe silver nitrate? It made it dry up very nicely. Kept me from ruining all of her outfits.

@suesposa My sister mispronounced DDs name (it's not uncommon) for months and I was too nice to say anything until one night when like 3 of us shouted at her how to pronounce it right! I felt bad but come on, can't you hear us saying it the right way? gratefulgirl I just read you can use cornstarch instead of baking soda too. It says to leave it for 15 mins and then vacuum it up and repeat it as many times as needed.

gratefulgirl, You can also buy odor remover at the store in powder form to vacuum up. My first thought was to use a spotbot type cleaner on it, but I'm not sure I'd want to get it wet since it was oil based it might just make a bigger mess.

gratefulgirl do you own or rent? Because I would spring and have it professionally cleaned. Those powders don't ever fully come out and can ruin your carpet color. Plus carpet cleaners have a guarantee (or should) so if it didn't work after 1 treatment they should come back for free.

Just took DS on a walk around the block in th K'Tan and I think we love it. He's happily snoozing now while we're just sitting out in the shade in the backyard and keeps making the most adorable little cooing noises. I seriously need to try to keep these awesome/easy moments in mind during the long miserable stretches of nighttime!
In other news, my DH is looking BEAT. While I'm ecstatic and fee wel rested after 5 split-up hours of sleep, he has been looking more and more exhausted ever day, even though I think he has to be getting a little more than me. He's been doing all of the MOTN diapers since I have to nurse, but I'm considering giving him a night off even from that. A friend of mine pointed out that while I've had a while to get used to crappy sleep, due to being pregnant, this all hit him at once.

DS has had goopy eyes for the past couple of days. Not sure if it's clogged tear ducts or pinkeye. We see the pedi tomorrow but is there anything else I can do now other than wiping his eyes with a damp cloth and trying to massage his tear ducts?
ETA - my google image searching has me pretty sure it's the tear ducts.
hummingbird125 if the eye is pink, he needs to be seen. If it is just drainage, it's probobly a tear duct. Dd4 has it on and off but her eye never turns red Eta. No I don't think there is much to do other than wipe with warm cloth or massage. I don't think breastmilk helps the blocked tear duct
