Week/Team/Fruit: 30+5, mono-di girls, cantaloupe

Appointments this week: I have an OB appointment and ultrasound on Thursday. I think I get my first cervical check as well.

Symptoms: General discomfort...it feels like the babies have dropped much lower in my pelvis.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I gave up on sleeping in bed and I've moved to the recliner in the nursery. I still don't feel well rested, but at least I'm sleeping.
I've mentioned this before, but DH wants to leave for a week-long work trip this weekend. I'm extremely nervous/anxious that I'll go into labor and have these babies by myself.

GTKY: Any near-term things on your to-do list? Longer-term projects?
My list feels like it's a mile long.
-assemble 2nd crib
-finish alphabet wall
-order breast pump
-complete registry
-get baby gear out of attic/wash/assemble
-pack hospital bags
-stock up on postpartum needs and food

Week/Team/Fruit: 25/di-di Boy/Girl/ Baseball gloves or Napa cabbages

Appointments this week: None this week, but I had a growth scan on Thursday and both babies look good and are measuring 1.8 lbs. Perfect even for singletons! (no wonder I am so huge) And my cervix was 4.5in. The nurse joked that I had enough cervix to donate. LOLLLLL

Symptoms: This week has really take a toll on me, physically. I am so sore and haven't been sleeping well. Also, my feet are swollen and painful. I know, I know - this is just the beginning.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm happy it's no longer in the 90's here and I can get back to walking outside.

GTKY: Any near-term things on your to-do list? Longer-term projects?

Near term - finalizing registries, painting baby room

Longer term - setting up the nursery, breast pump, read something about newborns

dke2010, will your husband be accessible the entire week? I really hope that those babies stay put while he's away! I would be freaking out too.

dke2010, I totally understand your fears. DH has a bunch of business trips he needs to take before year end. I keep telling him I want them done ASAP. I really would prefer him to be in the delivery room than either of our mothers.

requiressnacks, I hope this break in hot weather stays! I feel like I haven't been able to enjoy any nice summer weather with the heat- I hope we don't just jump right into fall.

Symptoms:Heartburn is starting to get bad

Rants/Raves/Questions: Perfect GTKY this week. My to do list are a mile long and DH doesn't seem to understand there is a time clock on these items.

GTKY: Any near-term things on your to-do list? Longer-term projects?
Well, it seems like all I've done is get a new carpet installed and got the cribs put together, so everything else still needs to be done. Opps!

Week/Team/Fruit: 13w3d, jalapeno peppers, initial guess is team blue but the u/s tech said they are often wrong. We'll find out team on 10/7.

Appointments this week: OB checkup on Friday, then nothing for four weeks.

Symptoms: Lots of headaches lately. I think it is from taking care of Master R and Miss G while DH has been recovering from surgery and lack of weight lifting. I get many fewer headaches when I can lift weights. I should be able to pick that up again now that I'm less tired and we got a YMCA membership that comes with daycare.

I also had upper abdominal cramps last night from dehydration and constipation, so I'm trying to drink more water and added nightly miralax for the next few days. I'll probably eat some fiber gummies after work too.

Rants/Raves/Questions: It seems like it's harder for me to turn over without pain this pregnancy. I get sharp pain in my lower abdomen (not uterine cramps) often when I try to change position from lying on my back. Can anyone relate?

Also, have any STM+s had to retool your maternity wardrobe? I mostly wore skirts and dresses the first time. I can't do that chasing around two kids, so I have to find a bunch of new bottoms. The only stuff at the mall or any other store is full panel skinny jeans. I don't like full panel and I don't like skinny jeans. I want under-belly bootcut (or similar).

My to-do list is never ending. I would probably take over the check-in with it. In broad strokes, organize the house, clean the house, clean the car, prep for twins#2, look for jobs, take naps, get back to the gym, visit family in Wisconsin (and look for maternity and baby clothes up there since it is a much larger market), cook more food for the freezer, order meat from the farmer.

Things I accomplished recently: dropped off the car for an oil change (very badly overdue), cooked a bunch of food so we have a bit in the freezer, sorted and folded clothes, put away towels, washed a bunch of laundry, washed dishes, clipped babies' nails, finally got enough grass seed to cover the yard, *lots* of grocery and house supply shopping, found two pairs of maternity pants at Goodwill.

My mom has been a *huge* help the last couple of days. I'm so glad she's been sober and helpful this time. She's acting like my mom again.

Becca I agree, no moms in the delivery room. I don't even want them present during labor. My mom probably would be too stressed about me being in pain (very little pain relief last time) and MIL would be more work than help.

@nomnom I'm pregnant during a different time of year this time around but I found Old Navy to have even regular pants with stretchy waist bands to fit, even now at almost 37 weeks. That might be an option. The only true maternity stuff I bought this time around was more Gap and Old Navy maternity t shirts.

Appointments this week: last biophysical profile ultrasound on Wednesday then being induced on Thursday!

Symptoms: So many BH contractions but nothing painful and overall just ready to be done.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm pretty certain these girls won't be coming on their own before Thursday so I'm really hoping that we have a smooth, quick, and successful induction.

Not a STM, but zulily often has under the belly bottoms in multiple cuts so you might check there.

nerdykitten I'm afraid that if I don't get to try them on they'll end up too short or not fitting my thighs. I have thick thighs from biking and weight lifting.

Week/Team/Fruit: 32+1/Purple/Honeydews

Appointments this week: 32 week appointment with OB on Wednesday and growth scan check with MFM on Thursday. We're hoping to hear how long they'll let us go and we're hoping to find out that the last growth scan was wrong. We hope their discordance isn't really that big.

Symptoms: Mostly just acid reflux and pressure when everybody is head down.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Nothing much this week. We're just in a holding pattern until the MFM tells us when to plan for delivery.

GTKY: Any near-term things on your to-do list? Longer-term projects? All of my projects are currently short-term. We need to assemble the swings (the second will be here soon-ish), wash all the new stuff we're getting, and get the house clean again for when the ILs come to stay and take care of the animals. Other than that, I'm just going with the flow.

He'll be 12 hours away. And...my labor with DD was only 11 hours from start to finish. I'm just hoping my OB says something on Thursday that'll convince him not to go.

I'm a fan of either Old Navy or Target maternity denim, if you don't mind ordering online. The prices are decent and the fit is pretty good too.

I was lusting after some Jessica Simpson mat jeans at Macy's, but at $60 each I'm not completely sold.

nomnom, is there a Kohl's near you? I got my only pair of maternity jeans in-store there, they were boot cut full panel- it was late in my pregnancy so I just folded the panel down. Otherwise I lived in yoga pants this time of year.

ETA- I'm 5'2" with massive thighs- I was able to find a few pairs that fit, too long but that's the story of my life. They are oh baby by motherhood, size XL- if you'll pay for shipping they are yours!

schmella Thanks, but XL will be a little big on me. I've tried folding down the full panel and it's still too tight around my belly. I don't know if I'll make it to the end of pregnancy wearing pants still because of that. Unless I buy a bunch of overalls .

nomnom, Target had some jeans with the inset a while back. I liked them, but couldn't wear them long because my calves started to swell. (I have huge calves. Nothing store-bought fits when they swell.)

I also have to admit that since I don't urgently need maternity pants (too warm outside), I'm trying to wait until I can check the resale shops by my mom. I don't want to pay for new pants if I don't really have to.

nomnom, If you do get desperate enough, target does have them online and you can always return them to the store. I definitely prefer bootcut or wide leg pants, too. Hopefully you can find something you like second-hand.

Appointments this week: just with the nutritionalist about my GD, which is not going great despite my change in diet and increased dosage of insulin.


Symptoms: nothing to speak of


Rants/Raves/Questions: I have been sick for the last week. Ended up with a sore throat Sunday afternoon and 2 Dr's and 2 days later finally got one to agree that I have strep...and a sinus infection.


GTKY: Any near-term things on your to-do list? Longer-term projects? All stuff baby as soon as I feel better! For the longer-term we have a support wall between our kitchen and dining room that we want removed next year and then we will replace the flooring in those rooms as well.

I saw a RE and graduated from there at 8 weeks. My OB saw me at 12 weeks, then I went every 2 weeks after that with an ultrasound at every appointment. I have mono-di twins so it could be different for others.

I am having di-di twins and I go every 4 weeks, until 28 weeks and then I'll start going every 2 weeks. I've also had no complications, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I'm also having di-di twins. I went every 4 weeks until 28-ish weeks and every 3 weeks to the MFM. I started weekly at 30 weeks because of a really big difference in weights. Otherwise, I would have done every 2 weeks between 28-32 weeks.

Week/Team/Fruit: 7 weeks/TBD/ ladybugs

Appointments this week: we had our first ultrasound this week! Where we found out we are having TWINS!!! We transferred two embryos during our FET so I shouldn't be surprised. They only gave us a 30% chance that both would take so we went in today thinking we definitely only had one. Nope! Both babies are measuring 7w+1d. Baby A has a heart rate of 148 and Baby B had a heart rate of 142. So right on track! We are still in shock. I'm terrified and I'm still shaking!!! What did we get ourselves into?

GTKY: well I guess we need to start working on clearing out the nursery. I had cleared out the tiny bedroom last month but I don't think two cribs will fit in there so now I'll need to switch everything around again.
