DH had his vasectomy today. No changing my mind about a third kid now
FTR I'm 100% sure I'm good with two!
Whoohoo my dh goes end of September. I've been selling baby stuff and so far no regrets. I'm all "get this stuff out of my house". I Haven't tried baby clothes yet though, that I might find harder to let go.
Do u guys have the TV on during the day when you're home with LO? I'm finding that he stares at it alllllllll the time so I turn it off but what do I do nowwww?
I don't have it on at all because of my toddler. When I was home with just her at this age, I would do some of my hobbies. Knitting and crocheting, gardening, reading (I'd read my books out loud to her, they don't really have a preference at this age for what gets read to them), putting together puzzles, etc. I kinda miss that now. I'm constantly trying to find new things to do with the girls to keep V busy. It's exhausting.
DH snored all night. I yelled at him and shoved him and he would not wake up and move to his side. When he finally did it was in the middle of the bed in my face. J was up at 4am and had trouble going back down. DH wondered why I was mad this morning.
Last night was rough you guys. Up at 1:50 and he would not go back down. We eventually swaddled him at 4:15. Maybe he's not ready? Or do we just keep it up and he'll learn to not punch himself in the face?

I tried to unswaddle a couple of times and it did not work. I gave it some more time and it worked without any trouble. Maybe your LO just isn't ready. When we did it he was consistently breaking out of the swaddle, but it wasn't bothering him at all.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too... but, he's almost 5 months. I feel like he should be ready, no? Is this one of those parenting tests where we want to control our kids but they're really their own people? hahah
DH was so sweet and got up with Chase at 3:30 this morning. Unfortunately he was - as he almost always is - unsuccessful at accomplishing anything other than riling him up more. LOL. I sent him back to bed after 20 minutes, nursed Chase quickly, and came back to bed to find DH on his phone. Guess who was exhausted and grumping about never getting back to sleep? I'd feel bad but he NEVER gets back to sleep when he pulls his phone out in the MOTN.

I think I'd keep it up. Just like you are doing. To bed Unswaddled. If you can't get him back asleep swaddle him again. Eventually he'll stop waking up. I think no matter what age you do it there will be a stretch of learning for them.

J decided to treat me to a 4 am wake up for my birthday. Thanks pal, that was awesome. Glad he went back to sleep eventually, and is taking a fabulous nap. (Which means I also took a fabulous nap.)
And I need to get in the kitchen to make funfetti cheesecake. Which means figuring out where the hell my springform pan is. Huh.

xxkimmy8xx, have you tried swaddling with one arm in and one out? V had a hard time with the transition as well, so we swaddled her with one arm out for a week or so, then a few weeks with both arms out, but her torso was still snug in the swaddle (we used the Halo Swaddle Sacks). A more gradual change worked well for her. Also, I started out only doing it for naps at first, then did it at night after a couple days. Good luck! He'll figure it out soon, I'm sure.

E has this new thing with nursing where she grabs my boob with her hand/nails and rips it out of her mouth (without fully unlatching first) and then puts it back in. It freaking hurts. Any ideas how to stop it? Or why she could be doing it? Other than holding her hand, I do that sometimes but sometimes want a free hand.

Anyone deal with cradle cap? K is the first of my kids to get it, probably because she has the most hair. Remedies? Just baby shampoo and soft brush? Should I put lotion on it?

Baby oil and a soft brush worked for us. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wash her hair really well. It took us 3-4 times to get rid of the cradle cap, but A is bald.

Whatever you do don't pick at it. You'll pull hair out lol. Any kind of oil (baby, olive, coconut) works. I believe breast milk does too. Can't remember if you bf.

I do BF. Definitely won't pick at it.. I imagine it would be all over everything if I did!

I like Mustella Bebe Foaming Shampoo. It's designed for it.

Dd1 earns money for doing little chores (just random change). I took her to the dollar store to spend her money today. She picked a rubber snake. Then thought about a barbie but when I told her she could only get one for now she decided on the snake and the barbie later. She's barely put the snake down. .. it is her pet her name is Susie.

Olive oil and brush it in. We use a soft toothbrush. Lol. Leave for like 10 min. Definitely takes a few times before its all gone... I sometimes pick it. It's so hard not to.

I'm filling out daycare forms for E and for the first time I have to classify his race. I'm caucasian and DH is filipino. What do I write? I have no idea, lol.
