redandblue it was a poll asking where people stood on TTC. Several are trying again or will be soon. I've already been kind of sad as we get closer to the end of the storage we paid for our embryos. I had a conversation with H tonight and he's not even willing to consider trying again. I'm honestly pretty heartbroken. I understand why, but I still want a billion kids.

Huge hugs for you ampaints...such a difficult and personal decision. Not at all downplaying your conversation tonight, or decision, but adoption is always a possibility (if you haven't already explored). I'm happy to chat with you if you ever want. I totally get wanting a billion babies! I'm almost ready to contact our agency again to get back on the waitlist. I'm not sure exactly where DH's head is with it. We definitely said yes to any future siblings, but I don't know where he is with adopting again in general. I am thinking we will have a serious conversation once M is 18 months.

redandblue we've definately talked about adopting later. I've honestly been inn a decent place about OAD for a while, but the closer we get to November the harder it's become for me.

I always wanted 3 but after 2 preemies I can't. I mean physically i can get pregnant. But I would be an emotional mess the whole time. So we closed the shop up in March
ampaints I know you've talked about placing your embryos up for adoption. Do you think you'll go that route? If you don't mind me asking
We are. We've talked with someone for private adoption, but I'm not certain if the timing will work out. If not then we'll donate through our clinic. That's one thought that is soothing to me at least.
Also I'm having a down night. Legit eating cheese bread and beer for supper haha
Sorry things are so up in the air with your job. FX about the government job. Will any of the recent announcements re: more funding for supporting aboriginal communities (thank you Gord Downing?!? Lol) translate to more job opportunities for you? I guess I'm not clear on what you do. I also wanted to say I'm side-eying your HR department for having to ask for you offer letter...like why don't they have it on file?? (sorry probably wrong thread)...and your dinner looks delicious. Mine was nachos, ghetto Mexican layered dip (just cream cheese, sour cream and salsa) and a glass of wine! Lol

redandblue I do research with aboriginal groups impacted by development (like environmental assessments) like building a dam. The funding was government but the project will be completed and there are no new projects until they decide to start another dam. If they did decide to build another dam (2 more are in their preferred development plan) then everyone will be hiring. But until then, everyone is laying off lol.
I guess they had it in storage since I was on mat leave and our storage is across the city. Chief and council called and wanted them all like right now. That's what was sort of worrying!

I read an article about this like a month or so ago. So interesting how they use drones to check on them since they have no immunity to modern cultures diseases!
Putting the kid down and cracking open my third beer. The crafting I go. (Said in the tune of hi ho hi ho it's off to work we go, cause we're watching snow white...)
@betweenthelines did you cuff your skinnies bc of parenting lol
No way. This pair is too long (it's also a pair I've had since my senior year in highschool). But I have the cuff them so they don't look stupid. Me and Brux are just on the same page.
ampaints, a photo 1(thank you for the idea btw) and 2 banners... Party is Sunday...the big beach BBQ birthday bash
If you can think of any more b words to put in the title please share...
If you want any other ideas, for DDs first birthday I printed silly pictures of her face blown up. Then I cut out triangle 'hard' from construction paper. I put a hat on each face picture. Strung them together. I cut out the letters for happy birthday and glued each letter onto a hat. Super quick project but a big hit.
