H was a superhero last night and took care of the babies on his own from 12-6:30. I didn't even hear them cry, he must have scooped them up the second they made a noise. I slept 6+ hours uninterrupted. I want to marry him all over again.

Sooooo jealous that's amazing!!
My friend text me at midnight that she's in the hospital on bed rest with preeclampsia and she's not leaving until her son is born. She's only 34 weeks so hopefully he stays in at least another week. I'm going to visit her later today. She just had the baby shower last weekend so I know nothing at her house is even prepared yet and that she needed a lot more stuff.
bocaburger, MH did the same thing last night so I got a nap, then DD only woke up once during the night for a lazy feed at 3:30 and didn't wake up again until 6am!
spicysalmonroll sorry about your friend, I hope everything works out for her, I'm sure she would love the visit!
AFM nothing much going on, just trying to get a routine going. Yesterday we went to the pediatrician, and she gave us the okay to get out and run some errands with her. So we went to Walmart since it was one trip (I was in desperate need of a bigger bra right now and I didn't want to spend an arm and leg). I did okay at first but by the time we were in the car I was a crying mess and very anxious. MH is going back to work Monday so while we were out, he was like "okay I'm going to go here while you go here" and I didn't want to be separated but on the other hand he's trying to get me to do things by myself since next week I'll have an appointment and so will she. I know I'll get better, I hope so!
Today we're bringing the cats to the vet for their shots. We also ended up putting our poor dog on canine Prozac, he was having a hard time with all this change plus with me being gone for 3 days. He was so anxious and hardly slept, I called my vet in tears and this is step one of a long journey of training and positive reinforcement. I'm just happy he's finally sleeping and is way more calm around DD than he was on Sunday!

H is sick so I really didn't want his help last night but dd4 just couldn't get settled down. She dropped back to 2oz so that got me about 2 hours. Just not enough of uninterrupted sleep. I hope I can maybe score a nap later if I play my cards right
DH has been taking care of all DD1s nap, bed time and motn wake ups while I recover and take care of DD2 at night. Apparently last night he decided to just stay in bed with her after she woke up. So the two of them are asleep in her little twin bed and the newborn and I have the big bed to ourselves lol.
My mom picked DD1 up for the day because I am going to try to start potty training DD2, she seems ready (I hope). So this should be interesting with a newborn.

youdontsay Our dog is on Prozac too, it's been very helpful.
Our friends are out of town this week so they paid their nanny to come work for us instead. It's amazing but also SO AWKWARD right now because the babies are sleeping and we're both home and there's a stranger in our apartment.
spicysalmonroll sending so many good thoughts to your friend.
youdontsay, hugs! Anxiety is tough hopefully things get easier with time.
I'm watching teen mom og for a bit this morning! Then I'm heading out to run a few errands. Bank, supermarket, dropping paperwork off at SD's school. So much to do.
Day two alone with toddler and babies! Please send my children sleeping vibes. The boys were up fussing or only in a light sleep from 12 to 6 yesterday I'm all for a wakeful period but it was ridiculous. Then DD wouldn't fall asleep at night poor thing
Oh and DH's bday was last week but since I couldn't drive/do much we kept it super low key. He mentioned wishing we had a cookie cake, so now that I can officially drive, I'm going to surprise him and whip one up today
bocaburger Prozac before or after the babies? How long have you had your dog on it?
Before the babies - maybe for the past year? She has a lot of separation anxiety and some anxiety based aggression and it has really helped with those things
DD2 has peed on the potty 4 times and hasn't had any accidents yet! Woohoo.
I guess it's a good thing that the baby woke up early and stayed awake for 3 hours because she has been sleeping the whole time I've been focusing on DD2.

Thanks so much! I feel bad putting him on it but he wasn't even sleeping! Right now I'm holding DD for tummy time and MH is giving my dog lots of attention right now

The baby literally fell asleep for real only immediately *after* my alarm went off this morning. Not cool. I'd shoot for a nap this afternoon, but it's DH's birthday & I need to get him present(s) still. He's hard to shop for & I'll have all 3 kids along. Coffee, please!

Had a pedi appt this morning and DS has gained 3.5 oz in 6 days! Doctor was happy with that, but we need to go back next week just to be sure he's over his birth weight (2 oz to go). Doctor also confirmed he has blocked tear ducts, but told us to just keep wiping the goop out of his eyes whenever we notice any.
After that, I fed him outside and then we walked around for a while. I got three shirts at Old Navy to maybe wear for our photos this weekend, and then DH and I got burgers and fries and ate outside. I seriously needed that time out of the house.

How do you guys do the whole carrier thing? I have a Moby and a Beco Soleil. For example today we were at the vet and it would've been easier to wear than bringing the stroller in. So would I have just unsnapped her from the car seat when I got there and put her in the carrier? I was planning on using the Beco out and about and the Moby at home but I just haven't had it on my priority list
lennonkdc I'm glad Prozac worked for your dog! Right now we gave Quigley his daily dose and while I was feeding DD I was giving him pieces of cheese too so he associates me holding her as good things (he loves cheese). I'm hoping your LO arrives soon!

youdontsay, I have a boba wrap, which is similar to the Moby. I either wrap it at home (easier) or once I get to a store. Then just unstrap ds2 from the carseat at the destination and put him in. I prefer the Ergo and it's much faster on/off, but he's still too small (I don't have the infant thing for it).

We managed to run some errands 2 mornings in a row! Last night I opened our 4th box of newborn diapers, so I today I bought more. We have wasted so many due to ds2's love for pooping (or peeing) on the changing table as soon as I slide a new one under there. At least he's no longer pooping 12-15 times a day, so we aren't going through as many!
While we were out I had him in the wrap. Someone asked boy or girl, and when I said boy she responded "oh I thought so. His hair looks like boy hair". Umm I didn't know boy and girl newborn hair looks all that different.
Every so often, I sit down and I could swear I was sitting on baby's head. I know you are really low, kiddo! Can we get a move-on puhleeze? Haha
I am feeling like tiny energy bursts, and like I need to keep the apartment tidy. I want to vacuum but DD1 is eating lunch and I don't want to disturb her.
I was looking in the bathroom mirror a bit ago, the bottom cuts off just under my boobs, and it cracks me up with a black tanktop on, you can't see the belly swell start there, so... I just look like I have lost weight. And then I turn sideways, my shadow hits the wall, and ... oh yeah, there it all is. I am getting nervous about this kid's size!
Ok potty training with a newborn officially sucks (surprising, I know). It's just been chaos. Then it got even crazier when DD1 got home. The first few days are the worst.
Then I was looking forward to DH getting home from work to help me, and he actually had to come home an hour early because he is really sick. Blah. Thank goodness for Panera delivery because I can't even think about making dinner.

Mad respect that you are even trying.
I was planning on waiting, but she has seemed ready for a while. Yesterday she asked to go potty while I was busy with the baby, and I said just a minute, and she said "Ok, I'll just pretend!" It made me feel bad.
But today just keeps getting worse, I am now in the ER with DH because he has severe abdominal pain.
