Is it lunchtime yet? I have been starving all day long.
I am not eating cold cuts and that sub looks so flipping good.
I'm taking the train into the city tomorrow and I want to grab something to eat between work and the train and I just can't come up with something I can eat
Last pregnancy I was super anal about microwaving lunch meat (I would buy a sub, come home and heat the meat up). This time around I have not been following the rules 😬
Hope you all don't mind me just jumping right in. I'm not big on intros... Used to be on TD's Jan'15 board until it imploded but never really became active over here. So, hi!
Vasc, preggie pops were amazing for me last time; the cracker trick actually had made my MS worse
Welcome! I used to be on TD's March '15 board until everything blew up right around then - that shit was crazy! Much better over there, that's for sure. I switched to the March '15 board over here for a bit then faded off, thought I'd start here this time around.

Yeah, I haven't been either. Honestly so few things have sounded good that if I crave a turkey sandwich I hurry up and eat one before my appetite goes away :/
I'm so disgustingly bloated. I look like a box. Hoping upping my water will help. I'm going to feel so gross at the wedding. And of course I'm matron of honor so I am front and center for a lot of stuff.
This was me last weekend. I wish I had advice to give, but basically I felt gross the entire time. The whole thing was outside in the ungodly heat/humidity, and the dress accentuated my blump so I looked solidly 12 weeks pregnant. But the pedicure the day before was heavenly.
I plan to make a treat from the above site for myself and a friend at a cookout I am hosting this weekend! I will make a batch of real cocktail for the rest of the party and a mocktail for us pregnant ladies.

Also... I miss alcohol. I miss beer. I miss wine. I miss tequila.

Pretty much the same here. I created a new screenname though since I did give away a lot of personal info the last time; my H's job situation changed so we get to do the privacy is important thing now
Every person that I've told about my pregnancy is like "you must miss wine" apparently I'm an alcoholic to my friends.
I actually don't even crave alcohol.
I don't miss alcohol at all really. Which is surprising because I do love a glass of wine after dinner. But nope...I'm ok.
I do miss lunch meat. I have no idea what to pack for lunches anymore.
I'm so use to grabbing a sub in a pinch when I need to eat something. The other night when bartending I made peanut butter and jelly and gagged most of it down.

FfThc ( lol) I haven't stopped eating lunch meat. I did with my first, but this one and my second pregnancy I ate it all the time. It's one thing I can actually stomach. I just make sure to buy the store made meat. Like their store roasted turkey, and only buy what I can eat in 2-3 days

I just ate a foot long Italian BMT. At least I had it toasted? I broke almost all the rules but the sushi rule last time. I'm not a rule follower for the most part..

I don't stop with the lunch meat, and had a craving for sushi last night, so DH obliged. I don't really follow the "rules" either... last pregnancy I indulged in a little wine towards the end. Midwife supported it... not that I needed approval thought...

My OBs comment on it was "minimal alcohol, right?" He was pretty down to earth about everything

Just popping in to say I had my first pregnancy meltdown today.
Opened the fridge and the glass bottle of Heinz 57 fell right on my big toe. It made me so mad I just had a big ole cry complete with trembling lip and crocodile tears.
My mom had a good laugh at me. (In my defense it did the same thing yesterday except it fell on my ankle bone).

I'm going to break the blue cheese rule a lot. Because it's my favorite. I am trying to be good for the first 90 days of my pregnancy and sticking to the absolutely no medicine unless 100% necessary rule.
I'm also not big on pregnancy rules, except no alcohol or meds in the first trimester. I'm with onesweetworld and LOVE blue cheese (with honey - yum) I forgot no soft cheese was a rule! I'll also drink half a beer or a small glass of wine in the last trimester if I feel like it, though last pregnancy I thought it was odd how rarely I craved alcohol.

I'm going to be eating so much feta and blue cheese. Last pregnancy, my OB gave me the okay to eat soft cheese as long as it was pasteurized. Since most grocery store cheese is made from pasteurized milk, it wasn't really an issue.
If you're in the US most cheese you buy from the supermarket is pasturized so it's okay to eat, just read the labels and don't expect anything "imported" or "speciality" to always be okay.
This. Plus it's protein and calcium, both of which are super important. Which reminds me, those of us who are still nursing especially, but everyone really: take your calcium!!! Maybe in one of those chews that also have fiber, because that's not gonna be something you regret.

I was the same. I really only went for one on a Friday after a particularly hard week at work or if my MiL pissed me off. I didn't crave one which is shocking because i normally would have a drink every night
Ugh, ragweed allergy season is upon us... I'm trying a class B med instead of my normal one (class C) but it's barely helping. Laaammmmeeee
That is the worst part for me. My allergies are insane.
Same, and not all allergy meds are created equal. I'll give the class B until the weekend but if it doesn't work, it's back to the one I normally take. My OB said the benefits far outweigh any potential risks but I figured I could try the class B first

I'm craving blue cheese lately too! My husband bought me some dressing that's pasteurized (from trader joes). It's really good and nice and chunky.
I had terrible allergies when pregnant with my son. (I'm a spring allergy girl.) I took Claritin, which doesn't do shit for me. But he's (relatively) normal.
My husband put our gummy bear on the wait list for our son's daycare. I'm way too superstitious to do it this early. I know he's right, though. Our city is insane when it comes to childcare.

Yeah, my allergist told me not to even bother with Claritin... I'm trying Zyrtec but if it doesn't work, I'll go back on Allegra. I took it with DS the whole way through and he's mostly normal lol

I'm just going to throw it out there. Peppermint, Lemon, Lavender essential oils are awesome for allergies. (Together) just please get a reputable brand.
I'm terrified to tell our families. I'm not so sure they are going to be as happy as we are. They all made it perfectly clear they thought we had enough kids after the twins were born. I know it's none of their business but DH and I are just so excited we don't want to have them ruin it. Also my sister gets married in 2 weeks (she's the only family that knows bc I was afraid of her being upset and thinking I didn't care about her day when I didn't fully participate in the drinking activities) but, our family is big drinkers so I'm afraid I'm going to have to out myself before the wedding, bc people are already catching on when I keep turning down drinks.
I have a wedding too that I don't want to spill the beans before. The bride is a real bridezilla. I'm planning on drinking Sprite with a line so it will look like vodka tonic!

Agree. Get approval from your docs but my MFM said it was better to be able to breathe and get oxygen to the baby than suffer through with horrible allergies and potential asthma attack so Zyrtec was my friend.
