TTMA teething signs and symptoms. This was totally off my radar until your babies started cutting teeth! Totally unprepared.
I has been having some leapish but not quite leapish behavior. Extra sleepy, extra fussy at the boob, lots of comfort sucking with no transfer, sleeping latched and waking and crying when I try and slip him off the boob, sometimes latching with no sucking at all while awake, lots of thumb sucking. This is all different. Could it be teething behavior?!
We have tons of drool here. Even DCP made a comment about it today. Also lots of sucking on hands and biting onto anything he could get into his mouth. A started this super early and didn't cut teeth until almost 6 months though so I'm not thinking too hard on it yet.
A is just beginning to get a little drooly. Looking back at J's baby pictures, I had to retake his 4 month photo the next day because his onesie was drool soaked. Even then he didn't cut his first tooth until the day before he turned seven months.
All you who had drooly babies with no teeth for months are putting me at ease. I am not ready for teeth yet.
On that, my neice IS teething. She is 6.5mos. Today my grandma watched her for 1 hour and felt she was in need of a push pop popsicle... She gave her the WHOLE THING!! My sister was furious (reasonably so) and poor baby has been puking!

W has been drooling so much and sucking/biting his hands. I can see/feel the teeth under the gum trying to come up. For some reason I thought 4m was too early! Poor guy is so fussy.
W was extra fussy for the past several weeks. She was also sleeping like shit. Drooling like crazy. Chewing on errrything. Plus, I could feel the teeth buds under her gums. I knew teeth were coming soon, I just didn't expect them before 4 months...... But we have one.

DS2 is drooling all over, spitting up, warmer than usual...he's got a tooth coming. Will think about Highland's teething tablets but he has not needed anything yet.

how do you KNOW it's teething behavior? Just symptoms and Mommy instincts?
We never, ever knew when DD was teething. Usually it took one of us playing with her and she's laugh and we'd just have an "oh shit.. She's got a tooth ready to pop thru.. Guess that explains the last few days."
For parents of bigger kids - are there any molars in the 3/4 age range we should be expecting? DD keeps saying her teeth hurt in the back.

mommy instinct and also a little white/red gums. Also....To be completely honest, everything everyone describes is just typical newborn/infant behavior. It's all a crapshoot!

Our 2 year molars are only just making an appearance - we turn 3 next month. I thought those were the last ones though? No clue though that's just a guess

The next teeth that will break through are either the lower incisors or the six year old molars. It's pretty rare for that to happen before age five. She's growing her six year old molars now, but I don't think that would be painful.
So she's just being a weird kid. Or looking for an excuse to take Tylenol. My kid loves taking medicine. She's going to be so sad once we finally manage to wean her off all her drugs.

My kid loves taking meds too. He begs for "nums" every time he finds a syringe somewhere! 😂
+1 for the Tylenol loving kid. No issues ever giving medicine until we had to do amoxicillin- then we had to bribe with jelly beans and it was a half hour process. And it turned out she's allergic to it.
Do any of you use the teething necklaces? What're you thoughts on them?
I never used one. I was hesitant to put something around his neck like that. MAYBE during closely supervised awake time but even then I'm not sure... I have heard of people putting them on the ankle. I do feel a little better about that. But still unsure.
